While combat may not be the main draw-in ofLove And Deepspace, it is still one of the most important parts of the game. Whether you just want to complete events to earn rewards and memories, or you want to finish the main storyline, you’ll need to build a good combat team eventually. The key to a successful combat team lies in Protocores.
To get Protocores, you need to complete daily and weekly Core Hunt levels. The more levels you complete in Core Hunt, the better Protocores you’ll receive, and the more Cores you’re able to quick-sweep for later. You’ll be buffing up your teams in no time.
What Is Core Hunt?
Core Hunt is one of the fiveBattle categoriesin Love and Deepspace. In Core Hunt, you spend Staminaentering andcompleting combat stagesin a combat zone called an area.
Core Hunt hasthree areasto complete, eachwith different Protocores and challenges. Each area hasten total levelsto complete.
Completing area stagesawards you with Protocores. Therarityof the Protocores you earnwill improveas you hit higher levels in Core Hunt. Area one, for instance, will always have lower rewards than area ten.
Each area is a special combat challenge that you and your team need to clear. These challenges containwaves of special Wanderersand will increase in difficulty as you reach higher levels.
Weekly Core Hunt Schedule
The three Core Hunt Areas areonly open on certain daysof the week and each one offerstwo types of Protocoresas loot.
You can only enter or use Auto pursuit on Core Hunt levelson the daythat the area is open. Youcannotget more Amber Protocores, for example, on a Tuesday.
Here is theschedule of Core Hunt Daysas well as which Protocore types you can earn on those days, per zone.
AllCore Hunt Areas areopen on Sunday.
How To Complete Core Hunt
To complete a Core Hunt stage, you must firstenter the stage on the appropriate day. Once you enter the stage on the day it is open, select a challenge to complete. You will unlock more levels as you progress.
You need to spend Stamina to enter the challenge stage. Each Core Hunt level costs20 Stamina to enter.
Upon entering the level, you canchoose which companionyou’d like to battle with and which memories to use in your team.
Remember, each battle stage tells you whatStellactrum to prioritizeat the top left of the battle prep screen. Pick memories that match the suggested Stellactrum to do more damage to Wanderers and break their shields more quickly.
Each level also has asuggested minimum levelrequirement for clearing the stage. This suggestion is for your equipped memories. Stages with a minimum suggested level of 20 will bemore difficult to passwith level two memories.
Youdon’t needto have all your memories in a team reach the minimum level of suggestion. You can sometimes pass a stage with animbalanced teamif there are enough high-rank, high-rarity, high-level cards in the team.
For instance, Ipassed a level 60requirement withtwo level 70, five-star Sylus memories, whileall other memories werefour-star memories at or belowlevel 40.
The same rule applies to Stellactrum. Youcan passa level without matching Stellactrum, but it’s recommended that you use matching Stellactrum memories to break through Protofields.
When you’re building your teams, prioritize leveling high-rarity memories. Three-star memories may be easy to fully rank and level, but even high-level three-star memorieswon’t compareto mid-level four and five-star memories.
To get more powerful memories and rank them up using duplicates, you need touse Empyrean Wishes or Deepspace Wishes Limitedin either the permanent Xspace Echo Wish Pool or limited-time event pools.
Once you’ve chosen your team, enter the battle stageand start the fight. you’re able to either choose tofight manually, using the tactics and skills you learned in Hunter Training, or you cantoggle the Auto Fightbutton at the top right.
Clearing a stage for the first time will give youfirst-clear rewards.
After passing a stage, you canAuto-Pursue it.This means you can spend Stamina to clear the stage automatically, without entering. One Auto-Pursuitcosts 20 Stamina, while afull tenAuto-Pursuitscosts 200 Stamina.
Every stage also hasthree achievement requirementsto get a perfect three-star pass. If you pass a stage with three stars, you will earn a specialfirst perfection reward.
How To Use Protocores
Now that you’ve cleared a few zones of Core Hunt, you’re able to start putting thosehard-earned Protocoresto work.
Protocores can beequipped to memoriesto give themspecial stat boostsand occasionally extra buffs and abilities in battle.
To use your Protocores, head to theMemories tabin the Deepspace Café menu, and select the memory you’d like to boost.
You can also see all of your owned Protocores at any time by using the’All Protocores’button at the top right of the Core Hunt menu screen.
A red badge will appear on the Protocore button in the memory’s upgrade menu to indicate that it hasavailable Protocoresto equip.
Each memory only hascertain types of Protocoresit can equip. you may only use Protocores thatmatch a memory’s Stellactrum and classtype. There are six Stellactrum types and four classes in total.
The six stellactrum types, as briefly mentioned above, areEmerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Amber, Pearl, and Violet. The four classes areAlpha (α), Beta (β), Gamma (γ), and Delta (δ).
Memories are also categorized into two types;Solar and Lunar.Solarmemories can useAlpha and BetaProtocores whileLunarmemories can useGamma and DeltaProtocores.
So, if you want to equip a Protocore toXavier’s An Appointmentmemory, you would need to use anAlpha or Beta Emerald Protocoreto match the memory’s Solar type and Emerald Stellactrum.
If you aren’t sure what Protocores would be the best to use on your memories, you canuse the match helperto offer you suggested Protocores. you’re able to also use the match helperwhen improvingyour Protocores.
I’ve found that thebest Protocoresto use are those with thehighest number of buffed skills.
Improving Protocores
Protocores have bothPrimary and Secondary Attributesto use and enhance. Both Attribute types willaffect the powerof your memories.
A Protocore’s Primary Attribute can be improved byspending surplus Protocores and using Protocore Energy(the colorful globes you collect that look like mini planets). Spending Protocores and Protocore Energy willenhance your Protocore’s Primary Attributeand improve the status buffs it provides.
Foreach three levelsthatyou enhance a Protocore, one of yourSecondary Attributeswill beenhanced at random. You can only enhancefour Secondary Attributesin total, because you can only enhance your Protocoreto level twelve.
If you havetoo manyextra Protocores even after improving and enhancing your equipped cores, you may choose toBatch Decomposethem. This means you’llselect the unwanted Protocoresto Decompose, giving youProtocore Energy and Goldfrom their decomposition.
