It’s finally time for Mega Mawile’s debut inPokemon Go, featured for the first time this week through its own Raid Day event. Like others hosted in the past, theMega Mawile Raid Daywill give you several opportunities to participate in this Pokemon’s new Mega Raid, in addition to different Raid-themed bonuses.
The Mega Mawile Raid Day will take place onSaturday, June 14, 2025, active from 2pm local time to 5pm local time. Our complete guide for this event can be found below, including details and tips regarding this Raid Day, so that you can take advantage of all that is being offered.
Featured Pokemon: Mega Mawile
Mega Mawilewill be the featured Pokemon for this Raid Day, appearing in Pokemon Go for the first time during this event. Being the featured Pokemon, you canexpect to see several Mega Mawile Mega Raids at different Pokemon Gymsthroughout the three hours of this event, appearing more often than on other days outside this event.
Following the successful completion of a Mega Mawile Raid, you will berewarded with different in-game items, and a chance to catch a Mawile. This includesMawile Mega Energy,a resource you will need toMega Evolve any Mawile in your Pokemon Go collection.
It will be difficult to obtain Mawile Mega Energy from other sources outside its Mega Raid.
For this reason, ensure to take advantage of this event and stock up on this rare resource.
Additionally, any Mawile encountered as a Raid reward during this event will haveincreased chances of being Shiny. With the number of Mega Mawile Raids available during this event, this will give you decent odds of encountering and catching this rare Mawile variant.

Raid Day Event Ticket
There will also be aMega Mawile Raid Day event ticketavailable for purchase until the end of this event. This ticket will cost$5.00 USD, and can be purchased through the Pokemon Go in-game shop.
Those who purchase this additional event ticket willunlock four different in-game bonuses, active on Saturday, July 27, 2025, from 2pm to 10pm local time.This extends past the conclusion of this Raid Day, so make sure you take advantage of these bonuses even after this event has ended.

Mega Mawile Raid Strategies
To fully take advantage of the different bonuses being offered for this Raid Day, it is important that you are prepared to battle against Mega Mawile in its new Mega Raid. This meansputting together a team of Pokemon that specifically counter Mega Mawileand take advantage of its weaknesses.
With Mega Mawile being aSteel and Fairy dual-type Pokemon, you will want to make sure to use strong Pokemon with eitherGround or Fire-type attacks. These two attack types will deal Super-Effective damage, proving to be the most effective against Mega Mawile.
Pair these two attack types withPokemon of matching types.
This will activate theSame Type Attack Bonus, STAB for short, further increasing the damage of these attacks.
Additionally, there will be several attack types that you will want to avoid using in this Raid battle due to their ineffectiveness against Mega Mawile. This includesPoison, Normal, Flying, Rock, Grass, Psychic, Ice, Dark, Fairy, Bug, and Dragon-type attacks,all dealing reduced damage against Mega Mawile.
Lastly, it is essential that you are attempting this Raid battle with a sufficient number of players, ensuring that you will be able to defeat Mega Mawile in the set time limit. For this specific Raid battle, that means going into the battle with agroup of at least three to five experienced Trainers.
