Pokemon Gois hosting a brief, electric-themed event this week, a brand-new event titled theMagnetic Study Event. Throughout this limited-time event, there will be different bonuses and research available to all players, many having to do with encountering and catching specific Electric-type Pokemon.
The Magnetic Study Event will be much shorter than the majority of other events hosted previously, taking place over the course of three days fromTuesday, Jun 03, 2025, at 12am local time, to Thursday, June 14, 2025, at 11:59 pm local time.Read on for everything you need to know about this new three-day event!
Event Bonuses
The Magnetic Study Event will unlock several bonuses for all players who log in and play during the event window, free of charge.
First, there will betwo bonuses active throughout the entirety of this event, specifically having to do with encountering and catching specific event-themed Pokemon. This includes:
Additionally, you will benefit fromextra bonuses during each dayof this event, changing daily. Below you can find each of these three additional bonuses and the days that they will be available.

Event Timed Research
There will also beTimed Research available to all playersduring the three days of this event, provided to you for free as long as you log in during the Magnetic Study Event.Each day of this event, there will be new Timed Research tasks availableto complete, providing you with different in-game and event-themed rewards.
The table provided below outlines all the rewards you’re able to expect from this Timed Research, breaking it down day by day so you know exactly which tasks will lead to which rewards.

You will only haveuntil the end of this event to complete this Timed Research.
To earn all available rewards, verify to complete these different in-game tasks before the end of the Magnetic Study Event.
Event Field Research Tasks
You will also have the opportunity to catch the featured Pokemon for this event throughEvent Field Research Tasks. Acquired fromdifferent PokeStop Photo Discs, these Field Research Tasks will require you to complete various in-game tasks in exchange for different rewards.
This includes being rewarded withevent-themed Pokemon encounters,giving you the chance to catch eitherMagnemite, Plusle, and Minun.With these three Pokemon having increased odds of being Shiny during the Magnetic Student Event, complete as many of these Event Field Research Tasks as possible.
