InRemnant 2, Relics are essential for healing and providing various bonuses. Each Relic starts with a specific number of charges, beginning at three, but you may increase these charges through upgrades, giving your character more opportunities to heal during combat, especially in boss fights.
However, not all Relics are easy to locate or obtain and some require you to discover specific dungeons or follow particular paths to acquire them. This is true for the new Latent Heart Relic introduced in the Dark Horizon DLC, which can be easily overlooked during your initial playthrough of the DLC.
How To Get The Latent Heart Relic
It is not possible to obtain the Latent Heart Relic during the One Shot Adventure of the Dark Horizon DLC.You will need to reroll it at least once from the World Stone in Ward 13.
After rerolling the Dark Horizon and starting the DLC, progress until you trigger the first cutscene. Once that’s completed,move forward and to your left to find a room with a purple device.
This room must have two pins missing from the device. If it doesn’t, you’ll need toreroll the Dark Horizon until both slots are emptyandtwo purple barriers are present.
It may take many many tries to achieve this, as there seems to be a low chance of spawning the room with both pins missing.
Once you confirm that both pin slots are empty,two optional dungeons are guaranteed to spawnduring this run:Terminus StationandDormant N’erudian Facility.
Your task is to explore the map andlocate these dungeons, as they will contain the pins needed for the device.
At the Terminus Station, you can find theDecorum Cipher.
At the start of this dungeon, progress ahead until you reach the area where you willboard the train and face multiple waves of enemies. Once you complete this section, you will arrive at your destination, where a checkpoint is located.
Nearby the checkpoint, you’ll notice some hanging cables;crouchand make your way underneath them.
Take the ladder up, thenfollow the path to the left side, where you’ll see the top ofa train car with a hole in it.Jump down into the hole, andbehind you,you’ll find theDecorum Cipher.
Memory Core 2 Location In Dormant N’erudian Facility
The second pin you need,Memory Core 2, can be found in the Dormant N’erudian Facility.
Once you locate the Dormant N’erudian Facility,head to the far left of the mapwhere you’ll find an anchor trail witha small gap that allows you to drop down.
After you drop, follow the straightforward path and take the elevator up toreach the control room. To the right of the control room, you’ll find a key item called theBiome-Control Glyph,so be sure to pick it up.
After that, return to the World Stone at the start of the dungeon anduse the glyph to unlock the nearby door. Inside, you’ll encounter another purple device. Interact with it to obtainthe Memory Core 2.
Final Step
With both items in hand, return to the purple device andinteract with the two missing slots to use the pins you collected.
Each pin will remove a purple barrier, allowing you to access theLatent Heart Relic.
