InThe Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, you’ll team up with Tri as Princess Zelda to restore the rifts tearing the kingdom apart. OIn your travels, you’ll reach the far corners of Hyrule and make new friends. At the Hyrule Ranch to the west, you’re able to even take a break and play with the horses.
Once you have your own horse, you can even participate in races to win unique prizes. However, you’ll have to master each course if you want to fully unlock all that the ranch has to offer. We’ll give you the best tips to beat the time trials!
How To Unlock Flag Races
Tounlock the flag races, you’ll need to progress further with the main story. This is because you’llneed your own horse, as you may’trent a horsefrom the stable for these events.
You’ll need tocomplete theImpa’s Gift questto get your very own horse, which will serve as your loyal flag race companion. You must beriding your horse when talking to the Hylianwith a carrot barrette to initiate the races.
If you can’t find your horse,place a carrot echoto summon them!
There arethree courses to complete, and you’ll only unlock the next one after beating the prior one’s time challenge. Thecost to race is ten rupeesup front for each course.
So long as you complete the course in the time limit, you’ll earn a reward and usually get your rupees back.
Flag Race Short Course Tips
For the first course, you’ll need to run around the track thatencircles the ranch. This short trackshould take less than 30 secondsto complete, as you’ll hop over crates and rush past trees tocollect all six flags.
To get the record time, you’ll need todash for the longer stretchesof the track.Do not dash when turning, as it will force you to go wide and likely hit the fence!
Hop over all the cratesand try tohug the inner wallof the ranch when you can to shorten your ride. If you canbeat the course in under 17 seconds, you’ll get a special reward!

Flag Race Middle Course Tips
After completing the short course under 23 seconds, you’llunlock the middle course. This track circles aroundthe outer ring of the ranch, allowing you to race through the edge of the forest with your horse.
There areonly five flags this time, but there are manymore obstacles in your way. Make sure to dash for longer, straight parts in the course, like whencutting between the trees to the eastof the ranch. If you canbeat the course in under 20 seconds, clearing the obstacles and triumphantly passing under the archway, you’ll earn a precious collectible!

Flag Race Long Course Tips
The long course willtest your control,forcing you to strategically plan your dashes to helppush you throughthe course. Thankfully,there’s also a shortcutthat allows you to hop over a section of the course.
Keep an eye out for theboxes lined up in front of the tree line, as you’re able to cut several seconds off your final time!
This track includesboth of the previous tracks, interwovento give you more of a challenge.Collecting all eight flags in orderis not so hard as long as you follow the arrows on the ground.
If you cancomplete the course in under 40 seconds, you’ll receive the unique accessory calledthe Charging Horn!Below are the other rewards for completing the long course:

The Charging Horn, when equipped, powers up your horse’s dash.
There’sno limit to how many times you can attempt each course, so feel free to practice as much as you’d like. As long as you have the rupees to do so, that is.
