Dead Rising Deluxe Editionhas all the whacky wardrobe and weapon options you may remember from its original release, allowing you to become a zombie-killing machine with style and humor. This also means all the extremely potent weapons are also still here, and they are a must-get if you’re looking to breeze past some of its more challenging parts.
Speaking of overpowered weapons, the Submachine Gun is as good as it gets, and it can be obtained right from the jump of your outbreak survival. While it will take a tiny bit of platforming to reach, it’s worth picking up if you want to trivialize most Psychopaths and groups of zombies in the game!
Paradise Plaza Submachine Gun Location
There areSubmachine Gunsscattered all around the mall in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, hidden in places you’d least expect, making them very rare to come across. One such SMG isfound within Paradise Plaza,the game’s starting area after you first reach the Security Room.
To obtain this Submachine Gun, you will have toclimb on top of the awning above Shoekin’s,the store near the exit that leads to the Entrance Plaza. Youcan do this at the very start of the game,and we strongly recommend doing it to get a massive boost early on!
How To Obtain The Submachine Gun In Paradise Plaza
Uponexiting the Security Room, head right to find a large staircaseleading to Paradise Plaza’s second floor. Abouthalfway up the stairs,you will see ablue awning to the right,just out of reach.Climb on the railing and then jump onto the blue awning.
From here, simplyfollow the blue awning all the way until you reach its end,finding theSubmachine Gunon top of itabove the Shoekin’s store.As mentioned earlier, this will give you a substantial advantage in the early game, especially against Psychopaths. We cannot recommend grabbing it as soon as you can enough!
This Submachine Gun is a permanent spawn, meaning it will respawn whenever it runs out of ammo, allowing you to grab it as needed throughout your playthrough.
Al Fresca Plaza Submachine Gun Location
Thesecond Submachine Guncan be found inAl Frsca Plaza,which becomes available pretty early on in your journey. It connects to the Food Court and the Entrance Plaza and is an area you will become familiar with a lot throughout the outbreak.
Once in this area,head toward the large Water Fountainbetween Hamburger Fiefdom and Colombian Roastmasters.Within this Fountain will be another Submachine Gunyou can pick up, giving you, even more, firepower exceptionally early on in the outbreak, making you nearly unstoppable in most Psychopath encounters!
Like the other Submachine Gun, this is also a permanent spawn, having it respawn whenever you exhaust its ammo, allowing you to pick it up whenever necessary.
Other Submachine Guns
Five more Submachine Gunscan be found scattered throughout the mall in Dead Rising Deluxe Edition, but you willeither need to obtain specific abilities to reach themor will have toperform extremely challenging jumpsto get them or evenprogress the story quite a bitto obtain.
Overall, thetwo showcased above are the easiest to obtain not only from the start of the game but throughout your adventure.Anytime you run out of ammo, just revisit those spots and pick them back up. They’re in easy-to-reach spots and are in areas you will be running through constantly, so there’s really no need to seek out the others, especially early on.
The Submachine Gun will not respawn unless it is completely out of ammo. So, if you’re low on ammo and are about to enter one of these zones, we suggest wasting the remaining shots and picking up a new one to continue your zombie rampage!
