You’re a newcomer to Unbent Village inShin-Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town. The adults in town don’t mind the new face, but the local kids? That’s a different story. They don’t know you and, as far as they’re concerned, you might as well have germs, cooties, and be weird all at once.
Instead of just ignoring you, these kids decide to block off parts of Unbent Village, and the leader of their group is Rose. She stands as the guardian of the most important of the blocked areas, so you’ll need her approval to get through – and a secret password.
How To Start Rose, Little Girl Roadblock
To start this sub-mission, you’ll need tofind Rose on the Under The Overpass screen, which you can reach bygoing to the Bus Stop Below The Rice Fields, then taking thepath left of Hajime and following itleft and around.
Talk with Rose, and she’ll tell you thatshe won’t let you passunless youget three secret wordsfrom her friendsAce, Prince, and Champ, so you’ll be forced to turn around and leave.
How To Get The First Secret Word
The first word you’ll get is Prince’s, andhe’s located on the Neighbor’s House screen. You’ll need tocomplete his first sub-mission, Prince The Fish Catcher 1, toget his secret word, and get to the locations where youfind Ace and Champ, who have the other two words.
All you need to do for this mission iscatch a Masu Salmon from No Bends Bridge, and youmay already have oneif you’vecompleted the main mission, Grandpa’s Fishing Rod, as it requires you to catch a fish from that location, andMasu Salmonis pretty common.
Bring it back to him to get hissecret word, Ger, and he’ll step aside so you canget to the Field Irrigation Path and Mountain Pathareas, as well asgive you an Iron Ore.
How To Get The Second Secret Word
While you canfind both Ace and Champonce Prince has moved, you’ll want to take thenorthern exit up to the Mountain Crossroadsandtalk with Champ first.
His sub-mission requires you toforage for wild vegetablesin the village, and hisfirst request is to find one Shisoand bring it to him. These can be found in several places, but theearliest locationis therice field in the Field Irrigation Path.
Initially, thisfield isblocked by Yuno, but she’llmove out of the wayafter youspeak with her at least once, and thenlet two in-game days pass. After that, you can go onto that small field, andpick up any Shisothat spawnsthere.
you’re able to alsofind Shiso at Unbent Bridge and Under Unbent Bridge, but you’ll need to complete Ace’s sub-mission to get access to these areas.
Once you’ve got the Shiso, bring it back to Champ, and he’llreward you with an Olivine, access to theareas past him like Phantom Fields, and hissecret word, Maga.
How To Get The Third Secret Word
Thethird and final secret wordyou’ll need isfrom Ace, and you may find him in theField Irrigation Path, blocking the exit.
He alsohas a sub-missionfor you, and you’ll need tocatch a specific bugfor him: theRhinoceros Beetle. It’s one of therarer insects, and you canonly find itin one location, thePhantom Fields, which you can reach byone of two paths at the Mountain Crossroads:
If the Rhinoceros Beetle doesn’t show up the first time, you cango between the map screens nearby to refresh the areaand give it another chance to spawn.
Take the Rhinoceros Beetle back to Ace for your reward:an Agate, access to theUnbent Bridge and Under Unbent Bridgescreens, and thefinal secret word, Zin.
How To Get Past Rose
With all three words in your possession, it’s time togo back to Rose at Under The Overpassand speak with her again. You’ll tell them the wordsMaga Zin Ger, and then get a cutscene with the group.
When it’s over, you’ll get afew important rewards: the Magazinger Badge,access to the Civic Center, a pretty important location you’ll need for several missions lateron, and itunblocks the path over Unbent Bridgethat leads to the Civic Center.
You can also find a shortcut to the Open Air Market if youtake the small footpath near the Unbent Bridgeand cut through the Rice Field Footpath.
