Dragon Age: The Veilguardsends you across the land on the hunt for two escaped Elven gods, but there’s always time toprotect a village or two from Darkspawnalong the way. Something Wicked tells you exactly what to expect in this quest focused on helping protect the Grey Wardens and people of Lavendel.

Evka and Antoine are your points of contact for this mission, tasking you with preparing for the coming onslaught and helping to push back the Darkspawn invaders. There are two major fights during this quest, but luckily, you’ll only need to play one of them out to its completion, as the latter clash only requires you to survive for a given period, and doesn’t require every enemy to fall.

How To Help The Grey Wardens Defend Lavendel In Something Wicked

Your quest begins with a simple task:check in with the Grey Wardens Evka and Antoine.Once the conversation ends, your quest will update and ask you to gocheck in with the three Grey Warden sentries.

Leave the Grey Hold and follow your marker, first heading left to the large door leading to theLavendel Barricade.

Speak to theWarden Jayniehere and ensure they’re prepared for what’s to come.

Head back into Lavendel and gosoutheasttoward theBlighted Tunnelto talk toWarden Greta,who is more than ready to defeat some Darkspawn.

Luckily, there won’t be as manyenemies to fight as you might encounter in Minrathous.

With two Wardens down, follow your marker to the west, where you’ll findWarden Augustine,who also affirms his readiness.

All the Wardens are ready, so you should return to Evka and Antoinein front of the Grey Hold.

Once you report that everyone is prepared, you must follow your marker todefeat Darkspawn at Sheltered Glade.

Several varieties of enemies appear, including Greater Hurlocks (weak toFire,resistNecrotic), Ghouls, and Emissaries who allshare the same weaknesses.

As you defeat the lesser enemies, more difficult ones will replace them for thenext wave.

You will know you’ve completed a wave when you receive300 XP.

From here, you’ll receive two new objectives:

Head to theeasternmarker to see how the Wardens are doing; unsurprisingly, they’re fine and ready for more action.

From here, gonorthto enter a large-scale battle with theDarkspawn at the gates of Lavendel.

Prepare for Greater Hurlocks and other powerful enemies and be ready to exploit their weaknesses toFire.

After you endure the continuous attack for a bit, acutscenewith Evka and Antoine in battle will trigger,concluding the fight.
