Albion Onlinesticks out in the MMORPG space by giving players the choice of how they make their income - and lets them spend it on premium in-game rewards that most other games of the genre put behind a paywall.

Almost anything you do in Albion will earn you Silver, whether it be in the short or long term — but which ones are the best? We have compiled six answers to this question, and depending on how you’d like to play the game and how many people you play with, it’s up to you to decide which path you’ll take. Let’s dive in!

Albion Online gives players the freedom to choose their risk level, so each of our strategies is ranked by risk level, difficulty, number of players required, and profit timing (immediate, short-term, or long-term).

In Albion, higher risk brings higher potential rewards but also greater potential losses. For those who prefer safer gameplay, we’ve included low-risk options as well.

Profits:

Very Long-Term

Gathering and Refining arethe cornerstones of Albion. All equipment needs to be crafted from something, and so gatherers will bring materials and refine them to sell on the market for profit.

Gathering specialists are respected within the community as pacifists that like to relax, and are generallyleft untouched by most.

Gathering can be done everywherein the game except in Dungeons, and like everything else in Albion — risk dictates reward, and thus, if you want to make profits, you’ll need to know where to look.

We have compiled a list of places you can go to do your gathering, from safest to riskiest:

If you invest enough time in this, making Silver will become trivial… However, we can’t stress enough thatgetting to that point will take a very, very long timeeven with Premium, all the right gear and the best areas of Avalon. You might not see meaningful profits until a month or so.

Long-Term

Crafting and Market Flippingis a unique way to make Silver, that not many truly master — and there lies their profits.

Every player in Albion uses the Markets, and controlling themrequires immense knowledgeof every item and crafting bonus the game has to offer.

Crafting

Crafting takes up half of the Destiny Board, and as such, getting to the point where you’re able to craft most items requiresa massive investment on your part. If you ever reach the point where you have more Silver than you know what to do with, and your Premium isn’t running out any time soon — this is the next step to take.

Each city has crafting bonuses, where you can havereturns on the materials you spentin the recipe. Using this knowledge, you can go to one city tobuy materials, go to a second city’s island tocraft the items, and then finish it off with a third in which you’re going tosell them. This takes a while, but the profits alone can be as massive as your Silver stash already is.

Buying materials should be done withBuy Orders, and you must pay attention to which city has which Bonuses and which items sell for more than others — so you can know where your final destination will be.

Market Flipping

Market flipping is a tactic similar to this, which you can do whilst crafting for some bonus profits —buying items from one cityat a low price, andselling them in anotherfor profits.

If you’d like to specialize in this, look intotraveling to Brecilien, as players there are usually not moving from the city until they’re done with making profits. This means you can go into the Mists and send yourself into Brecilienavoiding the pay from the Travel Planner.

If you enjoy colossal wars between factions of players, Faction Warfare can be a very good way to make some impressive Silver.

Faction Warfare consists oftaking territoriesfrom neighboring Factions, whilstthey’re trying to do the same to ours. Taking areas rewards you withFaction pointsyou can spend in the city where you enrolled, and faction warfare sometimesextends into Red Zones as well— meaning, if you score a kill on someone, you getsome loot as a bonus!

If you do decide to go with the Faction Warfare route, keep in mind thatprime-time is key. Playing in the middle of the night on the server will probably mean you won’t find many players to queue up with.

Finally, the best money-makerwhen trying to spend Faction Pointsis buying chestsby a long shot, as their content is far easier to sell and overall the best in Point-To-Silver ratio.

Low to High, depending on type

Solo or duo

The Mists arethe pinnacle of solo and duo content, as guilds and groups can’t form here.

This is your chance to learn the basics of combat, and visiting the Mists can be done byfinding Wispsin Yellow Zones or above.

What To Do In The Mists

Mists consist ofcamps that can be clearedfor a Cache, with a rarity from Common to Legendary. Clearing all the camps leaves you to roam the Mist looking for another Wisp or Knightfall Abbey.

Apart from camps, which are permanent, you may see temporary rewards such asCoffers and Small Chestswithin the area. These are fully PvP enabled, so testing out your gear here is agreat safe choice in Yellow Zone Mists.

If you’re just starting out, Yellow Zone Mists will teach you how ruthless players can be, andwhich builds you can fightandfrom which you should flee.

Once you’re able to consistently win fights with players that havesimilar Item Power to yours, move on to Black Zone Mists — the profits here areexponentially larger, and Crystal Spiderlings can spawn too, giving youmassive rewards if slain.

If you’ve got a friend to play with,Greater Mists hold the absolute best profitsyou can find as far as Duo content goes in Albion.

Picking when to take fights takes some combat knowledge, and you willmost certainly have losses— but, mastering the Mists can make you so rich you’ll never look back with regret.

Knightfall Abbey And Brecilien

From the Mists, you can travel to the dungeon of the Mists,Knightfall Abbey— where you’ll have to clear rooms of mobs for a chance to get a chest.

Rewards in the Abbey tend to begreater than those in regular Mists, and Coffers and Small Chests spawn here too.

If you enjoy the content the Mists have to offer enough, you can also try to findthe city hidden in the Mists; Brecilien. From here, you have immediate access to the Mistswithout needing to look for Wisps, and a journey back feature that allows you to sell your goods for profits, and pop back into Mists!

You’ll need some Brecilien Standingfirst, though, which can be obtained by simplydoing almost any activitywithin the Mists, and especiallysaving Caged and Weakened Wisps.

The Outlands are the wild west of Albion. No rules apply, and at any point you can find a squad of gankers ready to steal everything you have.

This downside is balanced withamazing Fame and Silverrewards for slaying mobs,Coffers and Chestsyou can find across the map with great loot, and so much more.

Because the Outlands are so big, you’ll only really see a handful of playersin the same area as you most of the time. Once you see that number increase more than you’d like, run to the next area, and just keep roaming.

Rewards are more abundant herethan the Royal Continent, but withfar less players to compete withat all times — PvP, PvE, gathering and dungeons all feel more freeing to do.

S.A.F.E. portalsare a great option for this, but not necessary, as the regular city portals work fine if you’d rather stay away from extremely high-tier zones.

Much like with Faction Warfare,prime-time matters; and in this case, it’s usually best to roam when therearen’t many players on the server. This one is for you, night owls!

Dynamic Encampments

Across the entire world of Albion, you can findDynamic Encampments— camps with mobs and a Fame goal that, once completed, rewards you with a chestwith a rarity from Common to Legendary.

Dynamic Encampments are set locations within each area of the world, and these can either beactive(meaning there are mobs and a Cache)or inactive; the only way to know is to approach one.

They can be replaced withDynamic Resource Hotspotsinstead, giving you a massive abundance of a certain resource —so bring your tools.

Black Zone Dynamic Encampments arethe real goal here, as these reward you withexcellent loot for the negligible time they requireto be done — but be wary, as they are also prime targets for gankers.

There are two sizes, one meant for solo players, and another for small groups; the latter giving better rewards in exchange.

Up to twenty

At the very center of the Outlands lie the Roads of Avalon — a massive area with connecting and disconnecting portals that never allow for an area to remain in a single spot.

Here, you can find some ofthe strongest mobs in the entire game, and the rewards are great across the board.

Although any type of player can enjoy Avalon, it allows forgroups of up to twenty playersto enter through a single portal — if you’re playing solo, you’ll need tolearn how to flee really well, and stay out of dangerous areas.

Avalon is by far the most dangerous area in the entire game, so keep your eyes peeled at all times for incoming players.

Much like the Outlands, here you canfind Chests, Coffers and Crystal mobsto fight too, but the main attraction here are the Camp Chests:

Each chest has a rarity, from Common to Legendary.

As mentioned previously, gathering is at its peak hereas well, withOld mobsthat provide you with hundreds, if not thousands, of gathering Fame each, andAspects, which are even better versions of Old mobs.

No matter what you like to do in the open world, you can find some content for yourself in Avalon!
