Not unlike the social stats in Persona,Metaphor: ReFantaziohas five “royal virtues” - Courage, Wisdom, Tolerance, Eloquence, and Imagination. It’s that last one that we’ve covered in detail here, providing an overview of the sources of Imagination you’ll encounter in Metaphor, as well as some general tips and tricks on how to max it out as quickly as possible.

You’ll need a high Imagination stat in order to pass a few follower-related checks, so there’s plenty of reason to make sure your protagonist is as thoughtfully creative as he is bold, well-read, and amply articulate. Here’s how to raise your Imagination in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Imagination-Building Tips

The number one thing to consider whenraising your Imagination virtuein Metaphor: ReFantazio is toalways focus on more recent sources. What we mean by this is thatthe “newer” a city you’ve unlocked, the more points you’ll earn.

With due apologies to the fellow in our above screenshot in Grand Trad, then,it will always make more sense to seek Imagination points in Martira than in Grand Trad, and thenin Brilehaven over Martira, and so forth.

This gets a little murkier whenraising your Imagination through spending time with allies aboard the Gauntlet Runner. In this case,it’s generally better to still focus on latter settlements-Altabury being the best.

Butif you really want to use that travel time to build virtues, go ahead and do so, as it’s a special opportunity given the travel prerequisite.
