While it is still a surprise seeing a guest character in Street Fighter, Terry fits in with the roster flawlessly, making quick use of the Overdrive systems and mechanics, allowing him to showcase why he’s known as The Legendary Wolf. If you’ve ever loved playing as Terry in any other game he appeared in, you will likely love him here, and that’s awesome!

As you may have expected,Terry Bogard is an incredibly solid characterin Street Fighter 6. Henot only brings his dominant playstyle from his other titles but utilizes the systems and mechanics of SF6 to his advantage,making him extraordinarily strong and unbelievably fun to play.

HisStandard Attacks are very good,allowing him toopen his opponent up with pokes and counter-pokes,making hisneutral game solidoverall. While not the best in the game by any means, he’s acompetent all-rounder who can remain a threat at practically any range.

Granted,most of his links will require spacing and timingto execute, but itwon’t be too taxing,especially since he’sleft on advantage on block with the majority of his Standard Attacks.you may alsohit-confirm into many different combosthat deal pretty decent damage, considering you don’t have to use Meter to perform them.

Speaking of Meter, however,Terry is an Overdrive fiend and can consume LOTS of Overdrive Meterif you’re not careful. Power Dunk is an excellent combo enderin most meterless situations. Itplaces Terry directly beside his opponent(unless they tech-roll), allowing him tobegin pressuring them with his okizeme options,such asmeaty punches or even grabs.This isespecially true in the cornersince he does haveaccess to a throw loop.

Aside from that,Terry’s Power Wave and Round Wave Specials(his fireball)have a low profile,meaning they willgo under most other projectilesin the game, making them afantastic tool to force your opposition to play differently,allowing you tocontrol the pacing and overall flowof the match.Outside of Juri, no other character has ground-based projectiles,so use them to your advantage.
