Many people wish to relive their glory days. InDeadlock, Lady Jeanne Geist was once the Toast of the Town in High Society. Now, however, she can only reminisce as a frail woman in a nursing home. That is until one day, a powerful spirit named the Oathkeeper offered her a chance to reclaim her youth in exchange for draining the essence of the living.
Torn between the horrendous nature of murder and the allure of youth, she accepts the deal, managing to limit his influence over her using a ward. However, as the decades passed, her ward weakened, and the Oathkeeper’s hungered more than ever before.
The game is still in development. Expect a lot more balance changes and improvements over time.
Lady Geist Abilities Overview
Lady Geist wields a 13-round revolver witha low rate of fire that deals 55 damage per second (DPS). Lady Geist holds one of the second-highest health pools in the game at 650. This works in tandem withher abilities, which drain her health.
Upgrades
Essence Bomb
Sacrifice some of your health to launch a bombthat deals damage after a brief charge. The self-damage type is Spirit and can be mitigated.
Life Drain
Create a tether thatdrains enemy health over time and heals you. The target must be in the line of sight and within the max range to drain.You can shoot and use other abilities during the drain, but your movement speed is reduced by half. Press 2 at any time to cancel.
Malice
Sacrifice some of your health tolaunch blood shards that apply a stack of Malice. Each stack slows the victim and increases the damage they take from you. The slow effect decreases over time.
Soul Exchange
Swaps health levels with an enemy target. There is a minimum health percentage that enemies can be brought down to and a minimum amount of health received based on victims' current health.
How To Play Lady Geist
Due to her high health pool and high damage abilities, Lady Geist isa perfect 1v1 character. Despite its low rate of fire, her revolver has excellent range and accuracy.
Use precise shots at floating orbs to steal and secure souls from fallen minions.
At the start of the match, try todeal early damage to the enemy laner and minions using the Essence Bomb ability. This will allow you to gain an advantage in the lane to farm for souls. Once you’ve unlocked your other abilities, you can begin initiating more fights with the enemy laner.
In the late game, enemies will get stronger and generally take more time to kill.Pairing up with another ally to prevent long-drawn-out engagementswill substantially increase Lady Geist’s overall effectiveness.
While Lady Geist is very good for 1v1 scenarios in the early game, she can be easily overwhelmed if there is another enemy nearby.
Explanation
Early Game
Hollow Point Ward, Restorative Shot, High-Velocity Mag, Enduring Spirit, Extra Regen, Sprint Boots, Mystic Burst, Mystic Reach
Using Lady Geist’s abilities, though rewarding lowers your health when used often. In the early game,focus on increasing your max healthwhilst slightly buffing your damage.
Mid Game
Kinetic Dash, Soul Shredder Bullets, Mystic Shot, Spirit Lifesteal, Enduring Speed, Healing Booster, Bullet Resist Shredder, Mystic Vulnerability, Warp Stone
Ability Buffers: Improved Cooldown, Improved Burst, Suppressor, Mystic Slow
During the mid game, look toincrease your abilities' overall powers. Life Steal and Bomb are the abilities to upgrade as they are your main damage dealers.
Late Game
Improved Reach, Superior Duration, Superior Cooldown, Boundless Spirit, Leech, Soul Rebirth, Healbane
In the late game,maximize your abilities' reach, duration, and damage output. Soul Exchange is especially important as the range increase and cooldown reduction will greatly boost its effectiveness.
