How To Join Multiplayer Taverns

When you launch Ale & Tale: Tavern, you can choose toplay the game in the default settingor in offline mode. Choosing the default setting allows you to access the multiplayer menu on the start screen.

As a host, you need onlyhave the tavern save open to start inviting your friendsthrough Steam. If you’re looking to join a friend’s world,select the ‘Join’ optionfrom the main menu and refresh until you see the desired world.

You can toggle whether or not invites and accepted players arerestricted to friends only!

Once you find the right world, join in the fun. It can take a few moments to connect, but you’ll soon bedropped right outside the tavern.

How To Run A Tavern With Friends

The main benefit to having friends join you is that you candivide up the tasksneeded to keep the tavern running. With the ability to haveup to four players, you can have one person cook, one person serve, one person clean, andone person run deliveries.

An extra set of hands makes all the difference during operating hours for the tavern. You allshare a single income, and you can use the dish places on the counter, along with mug and plate shelves, toeasily swap items so everyone can access what they need.

Along the wall to the back door, you’ll finda row of backpacks. This is where each player’s inventory goes when offline.

Each player caninteract with the furniturein the tavern to move it around and design the most efficient system, so ensure to communicate and keep enough space in storage. You can evenring the bell on the counterto let your friends know that dishes are ready!

How To Handle Combat With Friends

Another benefit to having friends is thatcombat is much easier. You can tag team enemies to ensure at least one of you survives the encounter, so ensure that you’re all prepared before setting off.

While combat is easier with more people, there areadditional enemies added to encountersfor each player online.

Additionally,any quests you undertake are shared, so don’t leave anyone out when going to talk to important NPCs.
