Once here, speak with Trevorto begin and progress the quest.
Trevor will be at thehighest point of the Observatory,so use thegrapple pointsto get up to him. Speak with him to learn that he’strying to get his hands on the Chief Terror Bird’s Egg,which rests on a nest high above the ground quite a ways from the Starlight Observatory Tower.
Collect The Chief Terror Bird’s Egg (Glide Morph Method)
This is a very tricky part of the quest, having youuse your Glide Morphtofly from the highest point of the Starlight Observatory Tower directly into the Chief Terror Bird’s Nestto snag the egg for Trevor. If you use up too much of your Stamina early on, you will fall short and must try again.
However, there is a simple trick here.As soon as you leap off the towertoward the nest, quickly AscendwithSpace/A/Xwhilestill in the ‘Safe Zone.‘Thiswon’t consume any Stamina, allowing you to gain extra height at no cost. From here, just Speed Upby holding down theW Keyor holdingUp on your Left Analog Stick.
While you willrun out of Stamina before you reach the nest, theheight you gained earlier will be more than enough to have you coastdirectly over the Chief Terror Bird Egg, allowing you toDescend on top of itby pressingSor holding yourDown on your Left Analog Stick.
Collect The Chief Terror Bird’s Egg (Cheese Method)
If youcan’t quite get the Glide Morph controls down-we get it- there is another method you can use to gather the Chief Terror Bird’s Egg. To do this, head to the nest from the Starlight Observatory Towerandpass through the small openingto reach a small collection of tall, pointy rocks.
Climb on the tall, pointy rock that’s close to the nest. This rock hasmany slopes and footholdsthat will allow you to get to the very top of it. Itmay take some finagling, but it shouldn’t be too challenging.Once atop this rock, you cansimply leap from it directly into the Chief Terror Bird’s Nest. There isno need to sprint or Morphhere; a solid leap will do just fine.
Once in the nest, you cansafely gather the Chief Terror Bird Egg,completing this step of the side quest, allowing you to continue onto the final part in the next step!
