The key gameplay loop inAmber Isleinvolves earning lots of money and inspiration through your job as a shopkeep who crafts all their own wares, and then spending those resources to unlock new areas to explore, clean up and decorate them, and then invite new Paleofolk to come live on the island.

Shell Creek is likely the third (but possibly the fourth) area you’ll unlock in the game. It’s a lush beach filled with pale wood, shells and pearls, and more sand than you can shake a stick at. And, of course, a hoard of new potential friends.

All Shell Creek Paleofolk Invitation Requirements

As always, there are three requirements to being able to invite a Paleofolk to the island:

The potential Paleofolk that you can invite to live on the beach won’t be available to meet when you unlock the area - you’ll need to pass the time and explore thoroughly before they turn up on the island. It could take a few days.
