Every rift inThe Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdomhas its challenges, but Zelda and Tri are equipped to tackle any obstacle through the power of echoes learned across Hyrule. With a bit of help, we’ll guide you through so you can save the kingdom before it’s too late!
One of the main rifts you’ll come across is located in the Eldin Volcano. It’s incredibly hot (and dangerous), so you’ll need to come equipped with your best echoes to solve puzzles, defeat monsters, and fully explore the dungeon. We’ll walk you through it so you don’t get burned in the process!
Stilled Eldin Volcano Rift
Upon entering the rift, you’ll notice you’re surrounded by lava. Use your echoes toplace rocks so you can crossover the molten magma and navigate the outer portion of the rift.
Beware of enemies with projectiles, like the Fire Octos, as they’ll knock you into the lava!
To reach the entrance to the temple, you’ll need tohead towards the back of the rift. The path is along the far left corner of the rift, and you’ll need toscale cliffs, climb rock walls, and soar past lavajutting out past you.
Use the crow echo to help you float around the walls!
Once you’re past the wall of lava, you’llfind the entrance to the temple.
Eldin Temple 1F
The first floor within the templepits you against fiery batsin the first chamber.Make your way to the rightand place a rocky platformon top of the fiery spoutof lava. Hop on andride it up to the open dooralong the ledge.
In the next room,place a platform to your leftand cross over onto the western ledge. Use your echoes toreach the air vent, then climb around or glidewith your echoes to the other side of the stone pillar. From there,move to the northern ledgewhere you’ll find a treasure chest.
Inside the chest isa small key. Return to the first chamber and use the key to unlock the western door.
If you go to the room in the north, you’ll find a treasure chest and some more enemies to deal with!
The next room is filled with lava and rocky enemies. Thelava will continue to rise and fall, so you’ll need to time your movements to avoid being burned.
The iron gate leading to the next room is locked, so you’ll need toactivate the button on the flooralong the western wall when the lava is gone. Then, hurry tomove the rock platformsaround to help youreach the iron gatein the northeastern corner of the room.
A chest is burried in the southwestern corner of the room, but you’ll need Tri to pry it out.
After climbing a ladder, you’ll need tonavigate spouts of lavaagain. Use stone platforms to ride the spouts, then carefullycrawl across the rock wallsto reach the eastern tunnel.
Take theladder in the southeastern cornerdown to find a glowing eye to the west.Strike this eyeto open the door to the east. Make your way there tofind a chest with another small key!
Backtrack into the previous room, thenclimb along the rock wallpast the heat vents toreach the top of the chamber. Take the eastern ladder toreach the next floor and a waypointfor you to activate.
The chest in the room belowcontains the dungeon map, allowing you to navigate the volcano with ease.
Eldin Temple 2F
After activating the waypoint in this room,use the small key to open the locked doorto the north. ensure you’re prepared before opening the door, asa mini boss awaitsyou inside.
Dark Link Boss Fight
Dark Link makes his return, this time with bombs. Thedoor locks behind youwhen you enter, so you have no choice but to face him. Much ofthe floor is breakable, so be careful!
Swap into swordfighter formor use echoes to help strike Link. Be warned:Link will start to floataround the room as a sphere of darkness after you whittle down his health. Once he’s defeated,collect the Bombs of Mighthe left behind and proceed to the next room.
The Bombs of Might allow you tothrow bombs in swordfighter form!
Where To Find The Big Key
After defeating Dark Link, swap into swordfighter form andthrow one of your newly-found bombsat the dark webbing to the left. Cross the chasm using your echoes and progress past the animated rocks to a locked door.
Take the nearby ladder up andbreak through the webbing to the eastto reach another ladder. Before you climb up, though,break through all the cracked rocksbelow to find a treasure chest witha small keyinside!
Backtrack to the locked door anddescend the ladderto enter a square chamber with a ladder leading into the depths.
The Lava Race
Carefullynavigate your way down the chasmusing the rock walls. Slay any enemies in your path to make this easier. Crawl along the rock wall to reach a large chest. Open it to find the coveted big key to open the big door so you’re able to face the dungeon boss.
Be ready to run! When you open the chest,the ground will rumbleand the race begins.
The moment you have the key, run!Lava will rise quickly, so scale the rock walls anduse your echoes to reach the topof the chasm. There’s no time to waste, sojump and run.
Your escapeladder will breakbefore you can get to it, so rush past anduse the rock wall along the western sideof the chasm to reach the top and escape.
The lava will stop once you climb out of the chamber and reach the room above.
The room below will be inaccessible after you escape, as the ladder is covered with lava.
Getting To The Big Door
Now all that’s left is toget to the big doorand confront the Eldin Volcano boss. Head through the door to the north andclimb the ladders to reach the easternmost area, which is blocked by cracked rocks. Break them open and continue upwards.
You’ll enter a roomfull of cracked rocksand a strong rock-type enemy. Defeat the monster andbreak the rocksto enter the next room. Here, the door behind you will close as youface off against a Fire Wizzrobe.
Defeat them using your best echoes, thenclaim the small key from the chestthat appears.
Backtrack to the room with the ladders, thenhead all the way to the western side. Use the small key on the locked block and ascend the ladder to reach a fiery chamber.
Use a flying echo to glide across the chasm, dodging the spouts of lava.Activate the waypointon the far side of the cavern before unlocking the big door.
Eldin Temple 3F
Now that you’ve reached the third floor in the Eldin Volcano, it’s time tofight the dungeon’s main boss. Enter the big door with the big key andget ready to confront Volvagia!
Volvagia Boss Fight
Thisfire-breathing dragonis a force to be reckoned with. Volvagia willspend most of the fight flyingaround, but thankfully, there aren’t multiple stages to fight through.

Jump toavoid the green orbsthat Volvagia fires at you whilesummoning echoes to fightin your stead. Switch into swordfighter form when you can todeal damage up close or use your arrowsto damage the dragon.
Once you fell the dragon, you’llfree all of Tri’s friendsthat have been trapped within the rift. They’ll repair the rift and you’ll be rewarded witha full heart and might crystals. you may leave the Still world at any time now, so hurry back to save Hyrule!
