The Necropolis Bells puzzle is one of these challenges, and it rewards you with two unique pieces of gear that can be easily missed if you skip it.

Where Is The Necropolis Bells Puzzle

Toaccess the Necropolis bells puzzle, you will first need torecruit Emmrichas a companion in your party, which is a part of the story mission.

Once that is done, at theend of the “Vault of the Beloved"hallway, you will find alocked door. This will beunlocked when you complete the Walking the Graves(Emmrich: Outing side quest).

Completing this side quest will give youaccess to the Memorial Garden areain the Necropolis region, where you will find the Necropolis Bells puzzle.

Necropolis Bells Puzzle Solution

Tosolve the Necropolis bells puzzle, you’ll need toring five bellslocated in the Memorial Gardens section of the Necropolisin a specific order.

Keep in mind that ringing thebells randomlyor out of orderwill reset the puzzle.

Each bell has five stonesdisplaying symbols that correspond to thosefound on the locked doornear the first bell. Behind this door are two chests, and to unlock it, you’ll need toring the bells in sequence, starting with thetop symbol on the first belland then matching each bell with the next symbol as you work your way down the five-symbol sequence.

Toring the firstbell, which is right by the locked door, simplyuse Emmrich’s Placate Mischief abilityto activate it. You don’t need Emmrich in your party to use this ability—justpress the “Tab” key on PC or R1/RBon a PlayStation/Xbox controller to trigger the command.

Once you do, thefirst bell will ringand aWisp will emergefrom the well and quickly move toward the next bell.

You can try tofollow the Wispto find the next bell, but it often vanishes before reaching it. Instead, after ringing the first bell,turn around and head straight forward. Go up the stairs, and you’llfind the second bell on your right.

Ring it as you did the first, then turn around,head down the stairs, go straight, andtake the first right. Thethird Necropolis bellwill be on your right.

To locate thefourth Necropolis bell,follow the tiled pathfrom where youfound the third bell. At the end of this road, you’llsee the fourth bell on your left. Use Emmrich’s ability toring it, then turn right.

You’ll notice astaircase going up, and just to theleft of it is the fifth Necropolis bell. Once youring the fifth bell, Rook will comment on something unlocking—that’s thedoor with five symbolsnear the first bell,now open.
