You find yourself in a mysterious post-apocalyptic world inOnce Human. As one of the Meta-humans who awakens, you are tasked with looking for and capturing Deviants that have invaded the world. These Deviants are creatures with dangerous powers that can be used to terrorize or to help the remaining survivors living in the region.

When you begin your journey, you will meet a girl named Mitsuko who will be teaching you all the basics needed for survival. After you learn to collect resources and equip pieces of armor, you will encounter a Deviant that you must defeat to defend the territory.

How To Complete The Defend Territory Quest

After following several of Mitsuko’s instructions, you will be tasked withdefending your location from various approaching enemies.

Alarge Deviant called a Siren and multiple smaller Deviants will appearand will launch an assault on the base you’re on.

There is acrate on the porch that you can loot for arrowsyou can use to defend against the attackers.

You will be given a crossbow for this event. Make sure tohave it equipped as a primary weaponso you can use it in battle.

The Siren will be launching projectiles at you.Dodge them by moving awayfrom where they will land.

When it’s safe,shoot at the Siren. You can target any part of its body, but you candeal the most damage by hitting the satellite disheson its head.

When you defeat the Siren, a Festering Gel Deviant will appear. You mustattempt to capture it, but it will escape.

How To Summon The Butterfly Emissary

Part of the Defend Territory quest is learning tosummon your Butterfly Emissary. This is the first Deviant you will obtain.

To summon the Deviant,hold ‘E’. This will open a menu with actions you can perform using the Deviant.

Choose either ‘Auto Attack’ or ‘Designated Target’to attack the Siren. The Butterfly Emissary deals massive damage, and will speed up the fight.

When a Deviant is summoned to battle,it will only stay on the field for a short period. Once it loses its energy,it will return to your cradleto recover. You will be able to summon it again when it recovers all its energy.
