While expanding your factory inSatisfactory, you’ll eventually have to leave the comfort of your base and explore the alien planet for new resources and other items. Of course, the planet isn’t entirely peaceful, and you’re sure to come across hostile lifeforms that threaten to impede your progress.
Luckily, you aren’t entirely without recourse. FICSIT Pioneers have several tools at their disposal for self-defense, including the Rebar Gun, which is capable of firing different types of ammo at short to medium ranges. Below, we’ll take a look at how to unlock, craft, and use the Rebar Gun.
How To Unlock The Rebar Gun
To unlock the Rebar Gun, you first need toresearch it in the MAM. This is done in theAlien MegafaunaResearch Tree. The Rebar Gun research node becomes available after completing the following precursor nodes.
After completing the Structural Analysis research node, you may then research the Rebar Gun. This will consume the following materials.
Now, the recipe for the Rebar Gun will be unlocked. Head over to yourEquipment Workshopto craft one using the following materials.
The research node used to unlock the Rebar Gun will also unlock the recipe to craftIron Rebar, which are used as ammo for the gun. These costone Iron Rod eachto craft.
You can unlock the Rebar Gun at any point in the game, but you’ll have to at least complete theTier 2 Milestone Part Assemblyin order to craft the Rotors needed for the research node.
How To Use The Rebar Gun
The Rebar Gun is capable of shootingone Rebar ammo at a timebefore needing toreload. The Rebar Gun doesn’t automatically reload, you’ll have tomanually press R to reload. There are several different types of ammo available, includingExplosive, Shatter, and Stun, as well as the normal Iron Rebar.
Holding Rwill let youswap between different ammo types, provided you have them in your inventory.
While you have to reload the Rebar Gun between each shot, you canequip multiple guns at the same time, allowing you to swap between them and shoot multiple times in a row before needing to reload all of them.
