InDisney Dreamlight Valley, you can welcome a wide variety of villagers to your Valley. From towering Disney characters like the Beast and Maui to smaller friends like Mushu and Buzz Lightyear, everyone has a place in the village. However, not all of them are ready to leave their Realms when you come calling.
Thankfully, with a bit of help, you’re able to bring them all back into the village and their new homes. Pumbaa will need a little convincing, but once you prove that you can unwind and enjoy the jungle life, he’ll happily come back with you to explore the village.
How To Unlock Pumbaa
Before you can even find Pumbaa, you’ll need to haveunlocked both Simba and Nala. In addition, you’ll need toreach level ten with both of thembefore Simba will offer you a new quest to go find his friends.
He feels like he’s forgotten his friends andneeds you to go get themso that they can all be together again. Head into the Dream Castle andmake your way to The Lion King Realm.
Finding Old Friends
When Simba gives you theFinding Old Friendsquest, you’ll find that the Lion King Realm has changed since you last saw it. Make your way through the jungle tofind Timon and Pumbaa by the waterfall.
When you speak with them, they don’t trust you right away and need you toprove that you may embrace their motto: hakuna matata.They’ll have youcraft a leafy mane and destroy a symbolic relicof your past.
At the end of the day, you’llunwind under the stars in a leafy bedof your own making.
Relax!
Upon waking up the next morning, you’llwork alongside Pumbaato practice the art of relaxing. Together, you’llcraft a hammock, check out ideal nap spots, and play in the mud.
Once that’s done, it’s time to eat. Pumbaa will teach you how to makeRoasted Jungle Fireflies, and you’ll wrap up the night with your new friends.
Where’s Pumbaa?
On your last day in the jungle, Pumbaa’s gone missing! Help Timonsearch for him around the oasisand you’ll find thatPumbaa is stuck in a log. Timon will help youcraft some super slippery bug oilto try and get him out, but it doesn’t work.
Go back to the village toask Goofy for help. He’ll give you an old plunger to reinforce, which you can use to gain leverage and free Pumbaa. From there,speak with Timonat camp to check on everyone. With Timon and Pumbaa ready to rejoin the village, all you need to do is head back to Dreamlight Valley.
How To Unlock More Of Pumbaa’s Quests
Tounlock more of Pumbaa’s quests, you’ll need to become better friends. Increasing your friendship is as simple ashaving daily discussions, giving gifts, playing Scramblecoin, and serving meals at one of the restaurants in the village.
Each day, there arethree items that will give you a great deal of friendshippoints, but you can give as many gifts as you like throughout the day.
Hanging out with Pumbaa will also give you more time together, allowing you toaccumulate friendship pointswhile you go about your daily tasks.
Roughly every other level,a new quest will become available. Completing these will also give you a large boost in friendship points in addition to any quest-related rewards!
When youreach level ten friendship with Pumbaa, you’ll unlock hisbest friend quest!Completing this will wrap up Pumbaa’s personal questline and reward you with his final gift!
Pumbaa’s Friendship Rewards
Every level grants youa new reward based on Pumbaa’s personalityand The Lion King as a whole. Fromclothing items to motifs and furniture, all of these items can be used to express yourself and decorate the village with a vibrant burst of color.
