Where Can You Find Shadow
Shadow the Hedgehog can be unlocked bycompleting the Release Shadow Event, which you can find in Lost Valley Zone.
Upon entering the area, you’ll see amassive pyramid in the distancewith a path leading up to it. Follow the path, and you’ll find yourself in front of the pyramid with an Event podium asking you tocomplete four questsin order to unlock Shadow.
How To Unlock Shadow
The four quests required to unlock Shadow arequite long, so we will cover each in order from hardest to easiest.
Quest 1: Combat The Hologram
The first, and hardest, quest requires you to complete a separate Event, theHologram Havoc Eventin Lost Valley. It’s located next to the path leading up to the pyramid.
This Event hasthree questsof its own:
Badniks are the common enemiesfound in Sonic Speed Simulator. They die in one hit, and if you happen to have a Super tier character, they die if you so much as walk over them.
Whilst running around, apart from Chaos Orbs and Rings, you will find Master Emerald Shards strewn aboutin Lost Valley. You will have to run around and collect a thousand of these in order to complete this quest.
If you have Chao or Fast Friendswith the Event bonus stat, these first two quests are accelerated tremendously. Each Badnik you kill or Master Emerald Shard you collect iscounted as twowith Event +1, three with Event +2, and so on.
Stone Tablets are hidden across Lost Valley, and can be found and broken as if they were a regular enemy. Once broken, they don’t respawn, so you’ll have to find them in different spots around the map. There are more Stone Tablets spread aroundthan the amount requiredfor the quest - and most are out in the open, so stay on the lookout for tablets like the ones in the Event menu.
Once you’ve completed every quest, you will be awarded withHologram Metal Sonicas a playable character, and you may move on to Quest 2.
Quest 2: Solve The Android Anomaly
The second quest requires you to complete another separate Event, theAndroid Anomaly Eventin Green Hill Zone. This Event can be found close to the spawn area in Green Hill Zone, up on a hill.
The quest will have youcollect Rebirth Energy, which can be acquired from finishingTime Trials and Races.
Emerald Hill Time Trial 1gives you the most Rebirth Energy out of all the Time Trials. Doing this one a couple of times will finish this Event in no time.
You can earn a couple of different rewards along the way, but once you finish it, you will unlockAndroid Shadow Orange. When this quest is complete, you can move on to Quest 3.
Quest 3: Destroy 100 Force Field Generators
Around Lost Valley, you will find bigForce Field Generators. These can be destroyed like regular enemies, and they respawn after a while too. After destroying 100 of them, you will be awarded with a pack of five Dark Chao, and you’re able to move on to Quest 4.
The Events aren’t exclusive, so whilst you’re completing the Android Anomaly Event, you can also look out for the Force Field Generators - since both quests require your attention in the Lost Valley Zone anyway.
Quest 4: Defeat 400 Badniks
As stated previously,Badniks are enemiesfound around the map.Killing 400 of themwill finish this quest, and award you with the Chaos Spear Trail.
Progress you made in the Android Anomaly Event iscounted here too, and just like in that one,the Event stat applies.
Unlock Shadow The Hedgehog
Once you’ve completed all four quests, return to the pyramid. There will be a gate that’s now open leading you into the pyramid, and once inside you canunlock Shadow The Hedghehogas a playable character.
