Life Is Strange: Double Exposureisn’t all trauma and tears. Beautifully blended in with the serious and sensitive topics the devs have given you some fun things to do and smile about. One of those things is the polaroid snapshots you find lying around in both worlds.
Each one you find gives you a glimpse into the moment the photo was taken, as if from another time or reality. You soon find out that all of them have been taken by Max, yet she doesn’t remember taking them. But where can you find them all, and what happens when you find them all?
What Are The Polaroid Photos And Who Took Them?
While you’re walking around, the game gives youplenty of things you may interact withto either look at it, take a snapshot, or examine. In addition to these, you’ll findrandom polaroid photosaround the game that you can take to add to your collection.
The first few that you find have blank titles, so it’s not clear who took the photos until you findthe Snowball War one in Chapter 2. Max mentions thatit’s her handwriting on the snapshot.
Each photo you find hascaptured a moment with Max and some of her friends, and you’ll hear dialog and sounds from each moment when you take each photo. However, Max mentions a few times thatshe doesn’t remember these moments.
It seems thatsome other Max in another world, one that we don’t get to visit, has taken these snapshots andleft them around Caledon campusfor you to find.
If you ever miss picking up one of the polaroids, the game lets yourevisit scenes in each chapterso you can find any missing collectibles.
When you’ve found every polaroid photo in the gameyou’ll unlock the Archival Footage trophy/achievement.

The timelines don’t split till thevery end of Chapter 1, so all the polaroids you’ll find here are in the original world, which islater be referred to as Dead World.

Chapter 2 has five photos,one in each scene, so these should be easy to find if you’re vigilant.

December 6th
Dead World
On the tablebelow the Snapping Turtle mural, where Reggie and Diamond were sitting the previous night.
Living World
On one of the picnic tables in thePergola on the North Quad.
On a bench at theObservatory Overlook. You’ll find this when you head up to the Overlook toinvestigate what Reggie said he saw.
Bitter and Sweet
On top of the CD playerby the backdoor of Hellerton House, before joining Moses in the darkroom.
All Chapter 3 Polaroid Photos
The first three of the five photos to find in Chapter 3are in the third scene, when you’re investigating people in the FAB and in Admin.
The last photo in this chapter can be found before looking for the intruder in Max’s house,otherwise you’ll move on to the next chapter and miss it.

December 7

All Chapter 4 Polaroid Photos
There areonly four photos to find in Chapter 4. The first one you’ll find in the beginning while talking to Safi and the next two during the Krampus Party.
The last one can be easy to miss, as you’ll be drawn to thecyclone of the storm by the observatory. Before you do,head over to the pergolaand the photo will be on one of the picnic tables.

December 8

Chapter 5 iswhen things start to get wild. You and Safi just jumped into the storm, which sends you and your friends to someweird and familiar places alike.
There areonly three photosto find in this chapter, and once you have them all you’ll get a shiny new trophy or achievement.
