As the Tournament for the Throne kicks off inMetaphor: ReFantazio, you and your party will head to Martira for your first challenge. While staying there, you’ll have the chance to gain a few more Followers and unlock new Archetypes, adding to your combat options.
The Gunner Archetype is one of those additions, and if you’ve been keeping track of More’s tasks, it’s one you’ll want to acquire. You’ll unlock this Archetype through the Providing A Spark quest, and unlike the Merchant and Faker Archetypes, which are harder to obtain, the Gunner is fairly easy to get but just as easy to miss.
How To Start The Providing A Spark Quest
The Providing A Spark quest comes to you naturally as the story progresses. After the Tournament for the Throne is formally announced,Nueras will hand you the quest on 6/26while you’reaboard the Gauntlet Runner en route to Martira.
This quest willtake you to Komero Village,a day’s journey from Martira, where you’ll need toretrieve a relicfor the quest giver. Completing itadds Nueras as a Follower and unlocks the Gunner Archetype.
If you’ve already completed More’s first taskandneed to study the Gunner Archetype for his second, you’ll have towait until this point in the storyto continue his Follower bond.
How To Complete The Providing A Spark Quest
The quest iscompleted automatically once you reach Komero village. On 6/29, after you’ve gained the teleportation ability, theGloomy Youth by the fountain in Martira’s Thoroughfare Squarewill give you theHatching A Plan questif you talk to him. Thisunlocks travel to Komero, which you can access from the round table on the Gauntlet Runner.
Upon arriving in Komero, you’ll find thatexploration isn’t possible, and only abrief conversation occurs with one of the villagers. He’ll hand you theGlass Ornament, the relic in question, and theInventor’s Journal, which will be pivotal to Neuras’s upcoming quest later on.
Theseitems are automatically given to Nuerasafterward, completing the Providing A Spark quest and unlocking the Gunner Archetype. After that, be sure tovisit More in Akademiawhen you get the time torank up his follower bond, acquire the Magic Seeker Archetype, and obtain his next task.
While you’re at it in Komero,don’t forget to purchase the Practical Pigeon Parcelfrom the Obliging Shopkeep in the Key Items tab for400 Reveeto complete theGloomy Youth’s quest before the July 11 deadline.
Also, be sure tograb the five Magla Pillsthat cost 200 Revee each, as they’re hard to come by and can come in handy in a boss fight!
