There are dozens of villagers to find inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and many of them will require you to progress a great deal before you may finally welcome them home. There are multiple villagers waiting for you within The Lion King Realm, and they won’t all be available right away.
We’ll walk you through how to find and assist Timon with everything he needs to feel safe coming back to the village with you. From learning what hakuna matata means to embracing jungle life, here’s everything you need to know to welcome Simba’s anxious meerkat friend in your thriving valley!
How To Unlock Timon
Before you can welcome Timon into your village, you’ll need to do some groundwork. You’ll need toreach level ten with both Simba and Nalabefore you can return to their Realm in search of the dynamic duo.
Finding Old Friends
Once you’ve reached level ten with Simba and Nala, speak with Simba and he’lloffer theFinding Old Friends quest. In this quest, you’ll need to go to the Dream Castle andenter The Lion King Realmin search of Timon and Pumba.
When you arrive, Timon and Pumbaa will put you throughhakuna matata lessonsto help you relax. You’ll learn how to put the past behind you andembrace a more relaxing atmosphereon your first day in the jungle.
Relax!
On your second day in the jungle, you’ll work almost exclusively with Pumbaa to unwind andfind the perfect nap spotsaround the lush landscape. You’ll even get to craft a hammock to kick back in! During the Relax! quest, you’ll have totake a nap and play in the mud.
After that’s done, Pumbaa will teach you how to makeRoasted Jungle Fireflies. With a fully belly and a completed to-do list, you’re well on your way to fully embodying the hakuna matata lifestyle.
Where’s Pumbaa?
To start your third day in the jungle,Pumbaa has gone missing. Search for him with Timon to find himtrapped in a logby the oasis. No matter what you do, he won’t budge. Timon sends you to collect bugs and smash them into asuper slippery bug oil, but you’ll still need more help.
Head back to the valley tochat with Goofyabout what to do. He’ll give you aplunger that needs to be reinforced. Once it’s ready, head back to the oasis and use it topull Pumbaa out of the logand set him free.
Speak with Timon at campto get ready to leave. They’re happy to follow you to the village. Pumbaa will come first, thenTimon will follow.
Unlike other villagers, youwon’t need to build a housefor Timon. He’ll live with Simba and Nala.
How To Unlock More Of Timon’s Quests
Tounlock more quests with Timon, you’ll need toraise your friendshiplevel with him. This can be done by having daily discussions once a day, playing Scramblecoin,giving him gifts, and hanging outwhile going about your typical duties.

you’re able to give unlimited gifts, butonly three favorite items provide a bonuseach day.
You can alsoserve meals at either Chez Remy or Tiana’s Palace to Timonto earn additional friendship points. This can serve multiple purposes, like adding friendship points whilecompleting Dreamlight Duties and Star Path Dutiessimultaneously.
Every few levels, you’llunlock a new questin addition to your rewards. Once youreach level ten, you’ll be able to start Timon’s best friend quest, whichrewards you with the final friendship item: a unique outfitinspired by The Lion King!
Timon Friendship Rewards
Every time youlevel up your friendshipwith Timon, a new reward becomes available. These vary fromclothing items to furniture, motifs,and Star Coins.
Timon’s level ten friendship quest is the only way toobtain the final item!

Jungle Couture Gown
Use these rewards to express yourself, decorate your village, and purchase new items. All rewards are based on The Lion King to fullyembrace Timon’s unique personalityand add a pop of color to your village.
