The Trailblazer is the only way for you to travel between worlds inStar Wars Outlaws, so it’s important to take good care of your ship. The best way to do that is by upgrading it to make your weapons, engines, and defense stronger so you can survive in the wilds of the galaxy.
There are several ways to upgrade your ship, including passive modules that you can find parts for from all over the worlds available to you. The guide below details everything you need to know about weaponry, shields, and more.
How To Upgrade The Trailblazer
The very first upgrade you’ll get as part of themain story progression. After completing The Underworld quest, Eleera gives you Fuel Injectors,which you’ll then bring to Waka after completing the New Tricks quest.
After that, upgrades won’t be available tillafter you complete The Wreck quest. Once upgrades are available,you can get them done at ship mechanicsfound mostly in major cities, sometimes near thespaceport or landing pad.
The ship mechanic is identified on the mapby the ship and wrench icon. When upgrades are available, there’ll be a yellow arrow on the icon as well.

All Weaponry Upgrades And How To Get Them
There arethree categories of weapon systemsthat you can install on your ship:
Each category and weaponhave a few types available, and while you’re able to upgrade all of them,you can only have one of each type installed at one time.
Cannons
This is your primary weapon that you’ll use inspace combat with enemy ships, to break open cargo containers, and to shoot mines or Slygel from a safe distance.
Laser Cannons
LC-50 Laser Cannon
A laser cannon used as main weaponry on the Trailblazer. Overheating may occur during extended use.
LC-70 Laser Cannon
A laser cannon upgrade that greatly increases its rate of fire.
C-K12B Rapid Fire Cannon
An upgraded laser cannon that increases the rate of fire and burst duration.
Plasburst Cannons
C-5B Plasburst Cannon
An advanced laser cannon that adds a charge function to deal great damage.
Launcher
This is amissile or torpedo that you can launchat an enemy target to deal a lot of damage between waves of cannon fire.
Torpedoes
T-350 Torpedoes
A less maneuverable missile type that deals great damage in a big explosion radius.
PT-240 Proton Torpedoes
An upgrade to missiles that increases the damage, explosion radius, and maneuverability.

Turret
The turret you won’t have access to in the upgrades menuuntil you complete the Hot Fixer questandunlock the expert Teeka. Once you do that, you’llunlock the laser turret.
After the turret has been unlocked, you may purchase anupgrade that installs an ion turret, which deals ion damage and disables ships for you. This can be handy if you’re in battle with a lot of ships andneed a way to manage them.

TU-B4 Laser Turret
A turret that automatically fires laser cannons at enemy targets when activated.
Ion Turrets
IT-11 Ion Turret
An advanced turret that fires ionized energy blasts and disables ships.
All Defense Upgrades And How To Get Them
Shields and the ship’s hull work hand-in-hand tokeep you and your crew as safe as possible. The deflector shields,which create an energy barrier around the hull, are your first line of defense. After that, the hull will start receiving damage and if you can’t repair fast enough,you will lose the battle.
Upgrading both of these isessential for your survivalin space during battles with pirates, enemy syndicates, or the empire.
Unlocked after Waka finishes repairing the ship.
H-RD Duralloy Hull
A hull upgrade that increases durability and adds an auto-repair function during combat.
H-SD Duralloy Hull
A hull upgrade that greatly increases durability and enhances the auto-repair function during combat.
All Engine Upgrades And How To Get Them
Upgrading your engines doesn’t really help you much in battle,unless you’re trying to escape a battle. Each upgrade gives you greater speed, so when the fight starts getting too hairy you canget out of dodge a lot faster.
All Passive Systems And How To Get Them
Passive systems areoptional upgrades you can get for your ship. Like previous modules, only one can be equipped at one time, but there are three total that you can get thatprovide unique benefits to space travel.
Although these modules are in the “Passive Systems” category,you do have to press a button or key to activate the module. You can see what button it is by looking at the bottom right of your screen when you’re in battle.The module you have equipped is between your cannons and launcher.
CO-BA Countermeasures
A device used to deflect incoming missiles.
Find the Renpalli Station Keycard inside the Crimson Dawn Vault on Toshara, thenuse that to open a locked room on Renpalli Station. Inside you’ll find a chest that holds the Countermeasures module.
Description
SE-JA-4 Sensor Jammer
A device used to make the Trailblazer harder to detect by interfering with enemy scanners.
This part is located onAchra Station in Akiva Orbit, inside a locked room. The only way in there is todo the Passenger quest.
During this quest you’ll obtain the keycard needed to unlock the door, and inside, along with your quest objective,is the chest that holds the sensor jammer part.
HS-2300 Heat Sink
A device that temporarily boosts the rate of fire of laser cannons and prevents overheating.
You’ll find this part in theSmuggler’s Refuge on Tatooine, in the southern part of North Jundland Wastes. To get there, go to Daroona House on the northwestern edge of South Jundland Wastes.
From there,head west and jump across the gap with your speeder, then follow the path to the Refuge. The heat sink part is in a chest inside the Refuge.
