Call of Duty: Black Ops 6has a lot of different moving parts in it, and loadouts are no different in that regard. There are 11 different aspects of your loadout that you can customize, not to mention how much you can change on each weapon, in the Gunsmith.

The final part of your loadout that you’re able to customize is the Wildcard slot. These Wildcards can drastically alter your gear, changing either what you can put in a certain section of your loadout, or allowing you to equip something extra into your loadout entirely.

What Are Wildcards?

Wildcards act as, essentially, a fourth, extra-powerful perk slot. But where perks generally change how your character functions,Wildcards change what exactly you can bring with you into the fight.

Wildcards also have no bearing on your Combat Specialty, like perks do. While they function in similar ways, you’re able to feel free toequip whatever Wildcard you’d like, and it’s not going to disallow you from using the Combat Specialty that you have equipped.

Every Wildcard Available

There are six different Wildcards in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, all of them changing a different aspect of your loadout dramatically.

Tactical Expert

Gives youtwo extra Tacticals. (Unlocks at level 15)

This is a fantastic convenience Wildcard, giving you a lot of extra room to work when it comes to using your Tacticals. It affords youso many more opportunities, and is one of the best Wildcards there is.

Overkill

Allows you to equiptwo primary weapons. (Unlocks at level 24)

There are few things better than being able to shore up your loadouts' weakness with a second primary weapon. This gives you so many more opportunities toengage at multiple ranges.

Gunfighter

Allows you to equipthree extra attachmentson yourprimary weapon. (Unlocks at level 33)

For weapons that shine particularly well when they’re fully decked out, this Wildcard allows you to ensure you can alwayspush a weapon to its fullest potentialby almostfully customizing it in the Gunsmith.

Danger Close

Gives you anextra Lethal. (Unlocks at level 38)

Lethals are some of the easiest ways to score eliminations, and can get you eliminations in situations you couldn’t have otherwise. In the right situation, anextra Lethal can change the game.

Prepper

Allows you to havetwo different Field Upgradesequipped. (Unlocks at level 45)

Field Upgrades range from beingconvenientto beingwildly effective. Being able to equip two different Field Upgrades is going to double how often you can use a Field Upgrade, and make youmuch more versatilefor your team.

Perk Greed

Allows you toequip a fourth perk. (Unlocks at level 54)

This Wildcard can range from making a little difference, to making ahuge difference. There are synergies that areonly possible with this Wildcard equipped, so with the right loadout in mind, this Wildcard can take you to unseen heights.
