InDisney Dreamlight Valley, there are all manner of colorful critters for you to encounter. Each of them has a unique way of greeting them, and Snippets are one of the most interesting of all. While not technically animals, these pesky creatures are well worth the effort. They allow you to help restore the Lorekeeper’s magic!
We’ll show you everything you need to know about where to find the different Snippets and how to catch them so you can completely restore the Lorekeeper’s pages. From unlocking more regions to setting traps for the Snippets, there are plenty of ways to catch the paper animals.
How To Catch Bird Snippets
Bird Snippets can be found all over Storybook Vale, and even in Dreamlight Valley. Once youobtain the Royal Net, you can chase after them and collect them. These are theeasiest to catch in groups, as they tend to cross paths often. However, they are quite quick when they fly around.
If you’re having trouble catching them,watch their flight patterns. They often move in looped circuits, so if you can figure out where they’re moving, you cancircle around themto catch them.

Bringing a villager with the Snippet role will help you collect extra Snippets on occasion!
How To Catch Frog Snippets
Once you open up the Everafter, you’llfind little paper frogshopping around. You cancatch them with your Royal Netif you’re quick, but theytend to hide. You’ll have an easier time catching them if youdirectly swipe at theminstead of trying to spin and catch them.
If you can’t find them easily,keep an eye out for the glowing flowerson their heads!

How To Catch Demon Snippets
Demon Snippets arethe hardest to catch, as theyslip away the first timeyou hit them with the net. You’ll have tochase after themto truly capture them with your net. Thankfully, theyleave a sparkling trailfor you to follow.
You’ll need to move fast! If you take too long, the Demon Snippet will disappear and you’ll have to start over.

How To Use Snippet Traps
Snippets can be difficult to catch up to, especially if you’re just starting out or don’t have extra energy to glide around with. Thankfully, you can build several traps to help you catch the critters faster. Below is every type of trap, how to make it, and what it does:
Basic Fall Leaves Snippet Repellent
A Bind-themed trap that keeps Snippets away from the immediate area.
Basic Faerie Snippet Repellent
An Everafter-themed trap that keeps Snippets away from the immediate area.
Basic Olympic Snippet Repellent
A Mythopia-themed trap that keeps Snippets away from the immediate area.
You can build and place as many as you like, so long as you have enough Storybook Magic to craft them.
