Dragon Ball: Sparking Zerofeatures tons of combat mechanics that can instantly turn the fight in your favor. One such mechanic in the game is Instant Transmission or Vanishing Assault, which allows you to teleport behind your opponent. Knowing how to use it can be the deciding factor in your battles both online and in the story mode.

You can teleport behind your opponents to avoid attacks and retaliate. You can also catch your opponents by surprise as you attack them from behind. However, you also have to keep in mind that your opponents can also use this move to avoid your offense and take their turn back with a counterattack.

How To Teleport Behind Your Enemies

There are several ways to teleport behind your opponent. You will have tospend some time in the training modeto master each method perfectly.

Vanishing Assault

One of the most common ways to teleport behind your enemies is to use the Vanishing Assault mechanic. Vanishing Assault requires Ki to use andhas different applications based on your distance from the opponent. you may press X/Square + A/Triangle or V on a keyboard to use Vanishing Assault whenever you haveat least one bar of Ki or are in Sparking Mode.

If you’re at close range, you will be teleported behind your opponent andlaunch a kick at their back, which will knock them away for a follow-up.

If you’re at medium or long range away from the target, you will not teleport behind their back.

Perfect Smash Attack

Holding the Rush Attack button or X/Square/left-click on a mouse will allow your character to glow and launch a Smash Attack. If youlet go of the Rush Attack button just as your character starts to glow, you will be able to land a perfect Smash Attack.

A perfect Smash Attack will allow your character to teleport behind your opponent and knock them away for a follow-up.Using aperfect Smash Attack doesn’t consume Ki, but getting the timing right can be fairly difficult.

Teleporting Behind Your Enemy During A Combo

If you manage to knock your opponent away with an attack or during a combo, you can press the Ki blast button to instantly teleport behind your opponent to deliver an attack. This can be usefulif you have multiple bars of Ki available and want to use a Special Move, such as Kamehameha or Galick Gun, as the combo ender.

In the middle of a rush combo, you can tilt the left stick in any direction + the guard button or press any movement button + E on the keyboard to teleport around your opponent at the cost of a small amount of Ki to continue the combo.

You can also switch characters after knocking your opponent away by holding left on the D-Pad or by pressing X on the keyboard to open the switch menu. If you switch characters in the middle of a combo, or after knocking them away,the incoming character will teleport next to the target, allowing you to continue to combo.

High-Speed Evasion

If you’re at close range of your target when they use a special move, you can press the block button, which is RB/R1/E, just as the attack is about to connect. Doing so will allowyou to avoid the attack and teleport behind your opponent.

you may also press the block button just as a melee attack is about to hit you to teleport behind your enemy and start your offense, asyour target will be unable to block if they are still recovering.

High-Speed Counterattack

If your opponent uses a Vanishing Attack or teleports behind you by avoiding your attack to retaliate, you can press theblock button just as the attack is about to connect to avoid it. Doing so will allow you to teleport behind your opponent andlaunch a counterattack of your own at the cost of some of your Ki.

The opponent can do the same to avoid your attack, so you have to be prepared for it. In case the opponent avoids your counterattack by teleporting behind you, you can press the block button again just as the attack is about to connect to teleport behind them again.

Instant Transmission

Goku and his variantshave access to Instant Transmission as a skill, which allows him to immediately teleport behind the target regardless of the distance,at the cost of two Skill Points. you may useInstant Transmission to quickly teleport behind your opponentto surprise them and use Goku’s other special moves, such as the Spirit Bomb or Kamehameha, or unleash a melee combo to deal significant damage to the target.
