Summary
Kingdom Hearts 4might still be an undetermined amount of time away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate the series in other new ways. Super Groupies, a company known for its officially licensed anime and gaming merch, has just unveiled its new Kingdom Hearts line, and betweenits sneakers, scarves, and bags, there is a lot to choose from.
There are a total of 18 items in the collectionwith six different characters getting one of each new item.Sora, Riku, Roxas, Kairi, Axel, and Xion are all representedmeaning you can either kit yourself out in your favorite character’s entire collection, mix and match the products or, you know, pick one or two of your favorite things due to the fact officially licensed Kingdom Hearts merch tends to be quite expensive.
Also worth noting that since Super Groupies is a Japanese clothing company, all of the prices for the new products are in yen, and yes, that does mean those outside of Japan will need to get the products shipped. The site has a handy feature on the right-hand side of each store page that roughly converts how much that product will cost depending on the country you’re browsing from. The sneakers are about $103, the scarves - which come with a keyblade charm - are $96, and the bags are roughly $89.
Super Groupies Has Sneakers, Scarves, And Bags Dedicated To Six Difference Characters
Time To Either Spend A Lot Of Money Or Make Some Tough Decisions
Super Groupies tends to be very good at creating designs that are clearly an homage to Kingdom Hearts and the other series it creates merch for while also being subtle about it, and this new collection is no different. Each pair of sneakers has Kingdom Hearts symbols embossed on them, including the logo for the series itself on the back. The subtle details continue throughout though, even down to the in-soles which feature an image of a Kingdom Hearts stained glass window on them.
The scarves have similarly subtle designs with Kingdom Hearts logos on the tag woven into them, and the color scheme differs depending on the character you choose. The bag designs are similar to the sneakers in that they are black and subtle on the outside and colorful on the inside. Sora, Riku, and Kairi’s bags have one lining, while Roxas, Axel, and Xion’s have a different one.
Square Enix really is tempting us with merchandise to fill the Kingdom Hearts void more than ever right now, or at least that’s how it feels. Earlier this month itreleased skateboard decks based on the ones from Kingdom Hearts 2. There are two designs available, and it’ll cost more than $400 if you want both of them.
