Summary

Today’s Sonic Central is now in the books during which we got our best look yet at Sonic Rumble along with a release window, a behind-the-scenes look atSonic 3(the 2024 movie, not the 1994 game), and a new trailer forSonic x Shadow Generationsahead of its launch almost exactly one month from now. However, one of the best reveals of all was the first look attwo new Sonic Lego sets that will be released in 2025.

Revealing new sets via skits has become a staple for the Sonic team at this point as Central’s hosts called Sonic’s Minifigure for an update on the new sets. The little Lego Sonic was roasting a toy brick marshmallow in what has since been confirmed to bethe Sonic’s Campfire Clash set(thanks,Brick Fanatics). The 177-piece set includes a Sonic Minifigure, launcher, and a GUN Hunter and Beetle for the Blue Blur to battle and will cost just $19.99.

Eventually, Shadow’s Minifigure was patched into the call for the bigger of the two Sonic Lego reveals. This is the Year of Shadow after all, and turns out the loveSegahas shown for Shadow will be extended into 2025. The Lego version of the brooding hedgehog will next make an appearance inthe Super Shadow vs. Biolizard set. The set will include a Minifigure debut for the Lego Sonic collection as the clip showed Shadow becoming Super Shadow to help him overcome the oversized enemy.

Two New Lego Sonic Sets Are Coming In January 2025

One Of Which Features The Lego Debut Of Super Shadow

The set will also include a Super Sonic Minifigure which will be making its second appearance. This set will be a must-have for all Lego-loving Sonic fans, but particularly those with a penchant for the Adventure era of the series. The Biolizrad is a boss fight lifted from Sonic Adventure 2 which will return in Sonic x Shadow Generations. Its Lego version will have weak spots for you to aim Minifigures at using the launcher included with the set so Sonic and Shadow can meticulously dismantle the Biolizard, just like they do in the games.

Both of the sets revealed todaywill be available to buy from the Lego store starting on July 04, 2025. It wasn’t included during today’s Sonic Central, but it’s been rumored a third set will be released that day too which will mark the debut of a Metal Sonic Minifigure. Odd that it wasn’t revealed today if it’s real and releasing on the same day as the other two sets. Possibly an indicator that Metal Sonic will have a role to play in Sonic 3 and Sega doesn’t want to shows its hand by revealing he will be in a Lego set a week after the movie hits theaters.
