Summary

Little Big Planet 3 is set to be permanently removed from thePlayStationStore later this month, removing the ability to purchase the game outside of people selling second-hand physical copies. This follows the shut-down of Little Big Planet 3’s servers on PlayStation 4 earlier this year after a long struggle against hackers and other issues related to the game’s online aspect.

This announcement was made in a statement released by the official Little Big Planet account. “After 10 years of playing, creating and sharing content in Little Big Planet 3, the game and our entire range of Little Big Planet DLC will be removed from the PlayStation Store on October 31st 2024,” the statement reads.

Little Big Planet 3 Is Getting Delisted

“Anyone that currently owns or purchases Little Big Planet 3 or any Little Big Planet DLC before it is delisted for sale, will still be able to access their purchased games and content after its removal. This is a friendly heads-up that if anyone in the community or any newcomers still wish to own a digital copy of Little Big Planet 3 or any Little Big Planet DLC currently available to purchase - This is your last chance to do so! Thank you for your continued support and understanding,” it concludes.

After bringing the servers offline in response to hackers, Sony cited “technical issues” as the reason for the servers never coming back online. This had the added consequence of millions of user-created levels and content being lost forever. If this content was stored locally on a console, then it is still accessible.

Naturally, you won’t be able to access Little Big Planet 3’s online features, now or ever. However, purchasing the game now means you’ll always be able to access it offline from your digital library.
