Summary

Magic: The Gathering’snew Duskmourn: House of Horror is releasing at the end of the month, just in time for the start of the spooky season and all the horrible ghosts and ghouls that come with it. We know thatDuskmourn is strongly inspired by 80s - 00s horror, and a variety of new Secret Lairs coming at the end of the month are building on that.

Wizards of the Coast kicked things off last week byannouncing two Ghostbusters Secret Lairs, the first focused on the green ball of ooze known as Slimer, andthe second based on The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series. There are plenty of other horror icons to draw inspiration from for Secret Lairs though, and Chucky is about as iconic as you can get.

First revealed byIGN, Wizards of the Coast has now announced that a Chucky Secret Lair will drop alongside the Ghostbusters Secret Lairs at the end of the month. Just like in the Ghostbusters sets, this Secret Lair will contain five Chucky-themed variants of existing cards from Magic: The Gathering, along with a double-sided card for the murderous doll himself.

Magic: The Gathering Is Getting A Chucky Secret Lair

you’re able to see the cards included in the set above, which include the double-sided Chucky as Kardur, Doomscourge, as well as Tiffany, Bride of Chucky (Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire); Friends to the End (Twinflame); Play Pals Factory (Genesis Chamber); and finally Sorry, Jack… Chucky’s Back (Phyrexian Reclamation).

Just like both of the recently announced Ghostbusters sets, the Chucky Secret Lair will be available to purchase on theofficial Magic: The Gathering websiteon September 30, soyou might have to be fairly adept at website hoppingif you want to grab all the Secret Lairs before other excited fans and the inevitable horde of scalpers. There’s also plenty of time left before these Secret Lairs drop, so who knows what else Wizards of the Coast has up its sleeve.
