Summary

Magic: The Gatheringis getting primed and ready for the spooky season. We havethe Duskmourn: House of Horror expansion just over the horizon, an expansion which is strongly themed around 80s - 00s horror, which had fans speculating if a Secret Lair with some iconic horror franchises could be announced atthis year’s Hasbro Pulse Con showcase.

Turns out, that speculation was right on the money, as Wizards of the Coast has announced thata Ghostbusters Secret Lair will launch on September 30 later this monthas part of the Camp Totally Safe Superdrop. The Secret Lair is called Ghostbusters: Slimer and includes five different cards, unsurprisingly focused on the weird but lovable green ball of slime himself.

Each of the cards in the Secret Lair were shown off on stream (and can be seen in the Twitter embed above), which include Slimer, Voracious Apparition (The Mimeoplasm); Slimed (Trickbind); Slimer’s Feast (Windfall); Escape Containment (Incarnation Technique); and finally Pernicious Deed.

Magic: The Gathering To Release A Ghostbusters Secret Lair This Month

We can also tell from this Secret Lair’s name that more Ghostbusters drops might be coming in the future too. With a title like Ghostbusters: Slimer, it feels as though Wizards of the Coast is preparing for several drops that focus on particular characters, otherwise it would surely just be called Secret Lair x Ghostbusters.

We don’t know for sure though, so it’s best not to get your hopes up too high. We’ll likely learn about any other potential Secret Lairs the closer we get to the Halloween season, so all we can do for now is make sure we’re getting notifications for when drops are available andcross our fingers that this one doesn’t sell out in mere hours this time.
