However, while it’s a key factor for many players,Marvel Rivalsgame director Guangyun Chen revealed exclusively to TheGamer that the team still isn’t sure whether they can make it work for its upcoming shooter.
“For Now, We Have No Cross-Progression."
Speaking to TheGamer atTokyo Game Show, Chen said that “For now, we have no cross-progression. As we only have around two months to go global launch, we are doing the final tech check to see what we can do and how we can process it. The workload is a lot more than we thought at the beginning.”

Cross-progression was one of many requests Chen’s team received from a recent survey, with the director saying, “We received like 100,000 pieces of feedback from players.” Chen confirmed that the feedback will help NetEase with the all-important character balancing, but it also proved a good confidence booster. The Marvel Rivals survey reportedly showed that 70 percent of players would recommend the game to their friends and that they would score the game an average of 4.5/5.
