However, we spoke to the Marvel Rivals development team ahead of Tokyo Game Show, and they confirmed that the Psionic assassin won’t be the last announced ahead of the game’s December release.
More Marvel Rivals Characters Are Coming Following Moon Knight Tease
Speaking as part of an exclusive interview with the Marvel Rivals team, we asked if the reveal of Psylocke would be the last before launch. Their response was simple, but music to our ears.
“We will be having more Heroes at the launch,” we were told. Who they are, how many of them there will be, or when they will be revealed was kept under wraps, but the team is confident that there’s more to come.
While nothing is confirmed yet, it certainly seems like one of those pre-launch characters will be Marc Spector, aka Steven Grant, aka Jake Lockley, aka Moon Knight.
At the end of the recent Psylocke reveal trailer, a short stinger featuring a full moon and what looks like a Moon Knight silhouette briefly flashes up, indicating that a reveal is imminent.
Although a couple of years old now, Moon Knight seems like a solid pick following the Disney+ series. Prior to the show, Spector was one of Marvel’s lesser-known street heroes. However, the portrayal of the character by Oscar Isaac propelled him into the spotlight.
Marvel Rivals also recently announcedCaptain America and The Winter Soldier.
Whatever happens, Marvel Rivals' roster will likely be one of the most eclectic in Marvel history, with NetEase Games also explaining to us that it has access to the full Marvel IP - including the games, comics and movies. So,anyonecould be added.
