There are quite a lot of new faces to meet on your journey to the crown, but one of the first you’ll come across is Gallica, an adorable little pixie that acts as the main character’s primary companion, kind of likethe relationship that Morgana had with Joker in Persona 5.
It’s been less than 24 hours since the game was released, but Gallica already appears to be a hit with the majority of people playing. Head over to social media sites like Twitter and Reddit, and you’ll easily be able to find floods of praise for Gallica from a lot of people. It’s even led some to claim that gallica may just be the best mascot character that Atlus has ever come up with, and looking back at past characters, it’s a little difficult to disagree.

For instance,take Reddit user InstinctualPessimist, who recently let their love for Gallica be known across the entire Metaphor: ReFantazio subreddit, while also letting people know how much they despised Morgana. The replies to that Reddit thread are pretty much exclusively made up of other people obsessed with Gallica, with a few defenders of Morgana thrown in for good measure. At least some people like him.
There are some theories as towhy Gallica is much more beloved among Atlus fansthan the rest of the studio’s mascot offerings, as a Reddit user called Smcblackheartia reckons it’s because “she feels like she dictates less”, as opposed to a character like Morgana was essentially bossing you around in Persona 5. Others think it has something to do with Metaphor’s main character being voiced, meaning the dynamic is less one-sided.
Whatever the reason,it’s become pretty clearthat the Atlus fanbase hasgrown to love Gallica very quickly, but we’ll have to wait and see whether she has the longevity of a character like Aegis or more of a mascot like Jack Frost. It’s fairly safe to say that she’s already more popular than the likes of Morgana and Teddie though, but it’s not all that hard to be liked more than a slightly bossy cat and a creepy bear.
