Monster Hunter Wilds’open beta started this week, giving players a chance to check out the gamebefore it launches in February next year. It’ll let players go up against vicious beasts and explore the massive world of Wilds, but more importantly, it’ll give players plenty of chance to create their perfect protagonist with the game’s fairly extensive character creator.
Hours will be spent tweaking cheekbones and making sure every hair is perfectly placed on a character’s head, but you also have the more chaotic side of the fanbase. We should by now that every character creator brings forth a group of people that love to recreate iconic characters from other franchises, and Monster Hunter Wild is proving no exception, as we already have players running around as Malenia, Majima, and more.
Monster Hunter Wilds Fans Make Kiryu, Malenia, And More With Character Creator
Monster Hunter’s subreddit is where you’ll find the majority of these creations, as user JudasQ impressed by sharing their recreation of Elden Ring’s Malenia. Her fiery hair would probably be enough to drive home that it’s Malenia, but JudasQ has gone the extra mile by trying to recreate her rot-covered face with a clever use of scars. I pray for the Rathalos that has to deal with her Waterfowl Dance.
Yakuza (sorry, Like A Dragon) fans will find a decent amount of representation running around in the wild too, as several fans have taken it upon themselves to recreate both Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima. WhileTwitter user Jei_gameswent for a much younger and vibrant Majima,Twitter user Zean_SukuroodandReddit user Minkis_Balinkiswent for Kiryu’s older look in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. He should definitely be in a hospital bed somewhere.
Of course, not every person has made a character from a game, as there’s plenty of rep from both anime and pop culture too. For example,a Reddit user called Plastic_Group2942managed to recreate some quite scarily accurate characters from One Piece, including Zoro, Nami, and Luffy himself, whilereal people like Final Fantasy 14’s Yoshi-P have also been recreated. You also have the more cursed side of this group,creating characters like Ronald McDonaldwith a purple Palico sidekick called Grimace. Poor thing.
