Summary

This week is going to be a big one for Monster Hunter fans.An open beta for Monster Hunter Wildsstarts for PS Plus members on Tuesday and then opens up to everyone else on Thursday. There’s more than just an open beta for Monster Hunter fans to get excited about, though. The series' plush collection has grown yet again withchibi versions of Palico and Seikret now available on Amazon.

Capcom made its intentions clear at the start of 2024 byopening pre-orders for a lot of Monster Hunter plushesthroughout the year, but spacing out their release dates so fans could buy them gradually rather than all at once. Pretty considerate if you ask me. Even though a few more plushes have been added to 2024’s Monster Hunter haul throughout the year, Palico and Seikret’s additions might signal the end, for now at least.

What sets Palico and Seikret apart, and what might explain why they have been saved until last, is their designs are based on how the monsters will look inMonster Hunter Wilds. Still four months to go until its release, but with the aforementioned beta starting this week, giving fans some merch to buy during or after the test has come to an end makes a lot of sense. It also keeps the Wild hype train rolling as it continues to pick up speed.

Monster Hunter Wilds' Chibi Palico And Seikret Plushes Are Available Now

It’s Been A Heck Of A Year For Monster Hunter Plush Collectors

Palico and Seikret’s plushes areavailable to pre-order at Amazon now for $26.99 eachthrough the links below, but there’s a catch, and it’s a big one. You won’t get them for almost an entire year. I was confused at first as I thought the release date on their Amazon pages had already passed. Then I noticed the 2025 because yes, your chibi versions of Palico and Seikretwon’t arrive until June 14, 2025. Hey, at least that will give us more Monster Hunter stuff to look forward to even after Wild launches in February.

Capcom Monster Hunter Wilds: Palico Chibi-Plush

Palico from Monster Hunter Wilds has been given a chibi makeover for its latest plush. Truthfully, Palico is a pretty chibi-looking monster already so it makes a lot of sense that it is one of the creatures from Wilds to be transformed into a plush.

Capcom Monster Hunter Wilds: Seikret Chibi-Plush

Seikret and Palico were the first monsters from Monster Hunter Wilds to be given the chibi plush treatment, and while Palico makes a lot of sense, Seikret kind of does too. A big friendly bird if treated right, although its chibi version is less intimidating and more adorable than the real in-game thing.

There will likely be a downturn for Monster Hunter Wilds hype over the holidays as even though people are excited about the game, sustaining the hype level surrounding it right now for four more months will be tough. However, as Capcom goes all in to get people playing the upcoming beta, joining the plush pre-orders has beenthe release of a Rathalos Prime Monster Hunter x Transformers action figure, and the reveal ofMonster Hunter Wilds PS5 covers with a matching DualSense. Unfortunately, the PlayStation accessories will exclusively release in Japan, for now.
