Side sets in theDigimon Card Gamedon’t usually have a ton of value per card or even any meta cards that will see a ton of tournament play, but in EX7 Digimon Liberator, there are plenty of cards that are strong enough to win a tournament and collectible chase cards for every type of fan of the game.
Besides excellent and stunning cards for all the Digimon featured in Liberator, the chase cards like Zephagamon and Cendrillmon are a must-have for digital tamers and collectors alike. Just make sure your savings are quite padded if you’re trying to pick up some of these, as they’ll make quite a dent in your finances.
For these prices, we are using the market value, as listed byTCGPlayer.
10Hexeblaumon (Alternate Art) - $28.29
Icy Warrior For Freezing Tactics
Although Hexeblaumon made the list, its price is still relatively cheap and this Iceclad warrior is probably one of the strongest boss Digimon found in the set. The regular art of Hexeblaumon is already fantastic, but if you’re looking to max out yourMirageGaogamondeck and are looking for a spicy tech card, then this card is the one for you.
Hexeblaumon is not only a great boss Digimon, but this bad boy can be included in just about any blue deck focusing on trashing Digivolution sources.
9BeelStarmon ACE (Alternate Art) - $30.34
Best Art For Best Girl
BeelStarmon has fallen from grace in the meta, but she will never fall off in players’ hearts. She is by far one of the most popular Digimon in the series, and in the Digimon Card Game specifically, even more than her Tamers counterpart, the Demon Lord, Beelzemon.
It’s only natural that the next step in giving the deck more support is an ACE card that can do what the original BT6 version can do, but much better, and with this stunning art of the queen herself, you’ll easily defeat your opponents with a barrage of Option cards.
8BeelStarmon (X Antibody) (Alternate Art) - $42.81
Fly Bullet Reference?
Not only did BeelStarmon receive a ton of support in EX7 Digimon Liberator, but players were treated to a different variant of the bullet Digimon with BeelStarmon (X Antibody).
BeelStarmon ACE becomes an easy target for your opponents’ removal effects, especially with the overflow penalty, but once you drop down this gorgeous alternate art of BeelStarmon, you will be able to close out games way quicker. As one of the two Secret Rares in the set, this card is sure to be a beautiful piece in your display binder.
7Lilithmon (X Antibody) (Alternate Art) - $43.80
The Menacing Demon Lord Is Back
Just like BeelStarmon, Lilithmon was a mighty deck during the early days of the Digimon Card Game. She relied on looping low-cost Option cards from your trash, like Jack Raid or even Calling From The Darkness, before the limited hit.
Now with Lilithmon (X Antibody), the deck has an outstanding protection effect that uses your opponent’s Digimon to protect your own and trigger devastating effects. There aren’t many powerful cards in EX sets, but Lilithmon is quite up there in terms of competitive viability. Make sure you get your hands on some of these alternate arts before they shoot up in price.
The standard in the Digimon Card Game is deletion/removal protection. Lilithmon is now up to speed.
6Shoto Kazama (Alternate Art) - $45.49
Turn Everything Into A Blocker
Everyone and their mothers -no pun intended- will be playing this card for quite a while. Shoto Kazama, the protagonist of the Digimon Liberator webcomic, is one of the strongest cards in the set. This card can give any of your Digimon the Blocker ability, turning some high DP Digimon even deadlier.
Not only is the card excellent in meta and competitive play, but the art is fantastic.Shoto is shown playing the card gamewith his partner Digimon, Pteromon, and his old buddy, Muchomon.
5Zephagamon (Textured) - $235.67
Vortex Warriors, Go!
There are a total of five different chase cards found in EX7 Digimon Liberator. These cards have a low pull rate, so if you find one, you’ll be handsomely rewarded. The first of these cards is the titular Zephagamon, boasting a striking green and black textured art that goes excellently with the Shoto Kazama found in the Store Tournament pack of the same set.
Digimon tends to be a relatively cheap game, but the chase cards up their price quite a bit, giving collectors a small niche for them to enjoy their hobby without feeling like they are losing a ton of cash.
4HeavyMetaldramon (Textured) - $248.99
A Nice Blend Of Colors
HeavyMetaldramon was first introduced as Yuuki’s mega-level partner Digimon in Digimon Liberator. This metal take on the Guilmon line is a great evil contrast to the fan-favorite Digimon Tamers good boy.
All of the textured cards in the set look incredible with their matching color foil, but HeavyMetaldramon, being a dual-color Digimon, makes the foil even more eye-catching than the rest. The card is not a great boss Digimon, but as long as Bandai releases more support for Liberator, then thedeck is bound to be good.
3Cendrillmon (Textured) - $359.01
Black And Yellow Is Such A Good Combination
One of the best color combinations ever is yellow and black. The contrast of the colors works amazing when making such bold art, like the one in this Cendrillmon card. The card is reminiscent of the ghost rare Alphamon from BT10 Xros Encounter.
As one of the protagonists from Digimon Liberator and a highly competitive deck with a fun strategy, this card is sure to win over plenty of Tamers around the world with its striking visuals and texture.
2BeelStarmon ACE (Textured) - $549.99
Don’t Point That Thing At Me
On top of its beautiful alternate art, BeelStarmon ACE also got one of the textured chase cards in the set. The art on this card, and its stunning purple and black foil, is reminiscent of the signature Three Musketeers Option card, Fly Bullet.
This is a must-have for fans of the archetype. Even though you’ll probably need four copies of this to have a fully blinged-out deck, it will be worth having this head-turner of a card hit the board every time.
1BeelStarmon (X Antibody) (Textured) - $523.15
Cowboy Bebob Vibes
The four ace Digimon from the Liberator protagonists got a beautiful textured card in the set, but with BeelStarmon already having a presence in the Digimon Card Game before the release of the webcomic, it was due to pay her some respect.
The X Antibody variant of her card received even better-textured art than most of the cards in the set. This card features BeelStarmon’s stunning profile with a gold foiled border, similar to the early Secret Rares in the game. This card is definitely one of the most gorgeous in the set, but it’ll cost you quite a bit, being thatBeelStarmonand Three Musketeer fans have quite an ardent fan base.
