Summary
Nintendoisset to perform a playtest related to a new featurecoming toNintendo Switch Online, but if you were hoping to find out what exactly the test is, then you’re out of luck.
That’s because those who were selected to participate in the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program are being asked to agree to a no-disclosure agreement or NDA.As first revealed by a Twitter user, who was accepted into the playtest, there are multiple rules that players must agree to before reviewing a Terms and Conditions page that gamers must acknowledge before moving on.
That agreement requests that users “do not discuss or disclose content from either the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program test software or website with others.” Additionally, users are asked not to share their download code with other players.

While these are all standard procedures, it seems highly unlikely that every player will adhere to these rules. After all, only 10,000 people were accepted into the program, andwith over 140 million units sold, that means a lot of people are missing out.
Sign-Ups Lasted Just One Minute
Originally, when Nintendo announced the program, it established a “recruitment period” of multiple days (Oct. 10 – Oct. 15). However, that was all for naught, as the available spots ran out in roughly a minute.
Though the spots filled up quickly, the playtest won’t commence until October 23. It’ll last through November 5, and those who got a spot will need to have a whopping 2.6 GB of space available. With speculation about Nintendo’s Switch successor running rampant, only time will tell what exactly this playtest is in reference to.
