Summary

Back in 2013,a horror title called Forgotten Memories was announced for releaseon theWii U. Except, that actually never materialized, and for one reason or another, the game never came out on the Wii U.

Flash forward to today, and the game is finally releasing on aNintendoconsole. But given that it’s well over a decade later, and Nintendo has since stopped support, as well as repairs for the Wii U, it won’t be on there.

No. Instead, Forgotten Memories Remastered will be coming to theNintendo Switch. Any further delayand it probably would’ve come out on the Switch 2.

We’ve Been Waiting A Decade-Plus

As it turns out, more than one person has been waiting for this game to make it to consoles. The comment section of the YouTube announcement trailer is littered with people who had once anticipated this game on the Wii U.

“I’ve waited years upon years for this,” one commenter wrote. “This made me happy to see. I hope physical for switch happens.”

Indeed, a physical edition is planned, according to the game’s developer, Psychose Interactive, in a series of replies on YouTube. What’s more is that the game will also be receiving DLC of some sort in Q1 of 2025.

Typically, when gamers find themselves waiting this long for a release, the game ends up disappointing in the end. I mean, how could any of us ever forget Duke Nukem Forever? That said, it appears that Forgotten Memories Remastered is at least aiming to at least deliver on its original promise made well over a decade ago.Now if Metroid Prime 4 could only do the same. Here’s hoping.
