Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Lifehad eight amazing marriage candidates to choose from, consisting of the seven candidates from the original games with the addition of metalworking artist Gordy. They’re all wonderful in their own unique way, each supporting their own share of fans.
However, fans of the series can’t help but want more. The people of Forgotten Valley are interesting and lovable, to the point we can’t help but wish we could marry them, too. Sadly, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life had other plans for our romantic endeavors. Still, we can’t help but dream of what it would be like if these characters would accept our blue feather, too.
8Pui
Help Him Find A New Home In Forgotten Valley
Pui is a nature-loving soul who tends to wander the forest to the north of Forgotten Valley. Occasionally, he’ll settle on the bridge between Lei-Over Inn and Vesta’s farm,asking if you have any spare money you’re able to offer him, up to 100G at a time, so that he can return to his home on Coco Island. Sadly, he never gets the chance to leave the valley, though you get the Blessed Sickle if you donate enough instead.
Pui’s heart events would have the free spirit teaching us to appreciate nature better alongside him, even if he still missed his old home. If he accepted our blue feather and came to live with us on our farm, we’re sure he’d grow to love his new home just as much as he did Coco Island. He’d likelyinfluence our childto become a farmer based on his love of nature, but we can also see his singing convincing our child to pick up music instead.
7Baddoch
Sometimes Love Is The Best Medicine
Though Baddoch doesn’t properly move into townuntil Chapter 2, he does visit Forgotten Valley from time to time during Chapter 1. He may seem stand-offish and a little intimidating, but the doctor means well and only wants the people of Forgotten Valley to be happy and healthy.
He doesn’t seem like the type who would be easy to romance due to not always being in the valley, but an update could have him visit more frequently. His heart events could have the doctor fretting over our farmer potentially working themself too hard and learning to work at a reasonable pace. Once the doctor started a family of his own with us, he’d likely convince our child to focus on academics, perhaps even convincing our child to become a doctor when they grow up, too.
6Van
Money Can’t Buy Love
Van only visits Forgotten Valley twice a month - on the third and the eighth - making him a hard candidate to woo if he were available. If we could romance thetraveling salesman, perhaps he could stay in town and leave early to travel, coming back late into the evening. That would give our farmer more chances to give Van gifts of food, winning his heart through his stomach.
It would be funny if his confession scene originally had Van thinking we were trying to sell him the blue feather instead of offering it as a sign of our affections. It’s a little harder to imagine what Van might convince our child to become when they grow up. The three most likely options seem to be art, academics, and music. Then again, Van sells upgraded farm tools, so perhaps he could help interest our child in ranching or farming instead.
5Vesta
All Farmers Deserve Love
Out of the three farmers living on the farm on the eastern side of town, Vesta is the only one you can’t romance. She has a big heart and loves puns. She’s protective of Cecilia and her brother Matthew, and she always does her best to look out for them. Her burly appearance also makes her far unlike any bachelorette the series has offered us thus far.
Vesta’s heart scenes could have her offer our farmer tips on how to improve, slowly becoming more casual and less work-oriented. She might be surprised if we offered her a blue feather, instead of her more conventionally attractive loved ones, but we’d be happy to take this farmer on as our bride. She’d be a great, caring mother who would help our child take an interest in ranching or farming, just like their dear old mom.
4Daryl
Can Love Be Scientifically Proven?
Daryl is certainly an oddball. His house is a cluttered mess full ofin-progress science experimentswithout a bed in sight. He’s no less weird outside his house, where he’ll watch your animals and even your child wondering if they could be used for his experiments. Even so, despite his eccentricities - or perhaps because of them - many wish we could give this scientist a blue feather to study.
Heart events with Daryl would likely be similar to the sort of cutscenes he’s already in: trying to perform science experiments that end up going horribly wrong, although with a more romantic twist. In the end, your farmer would decide to make the final move, giving Daryl the blue feather. This would conclude one experiment and begin another: starting a family. Daryl would definitely try to influence their child to follow in his academic footsteps and do experiments of their own.
3Carter
Dig Your Way Into His Heart
Although you’re able to’t romance Carter in this version of A Wonderful Life, you could technically marry him - or, rather, his descendant - in Harvest Moon DS Cute, causing many fans to hope he could be wooed in the Switch game. Unfortunately, the dedicated archaeologist is married to one thing: his job.
Had Carter given your heart a chance, his heart events could have been much like they were in DS Cute: bonding overyour time at the dig site. Ultimately, your farmer would give him something better than any artifact he could ever dig up: a blue feather, becoming his spouse at the end of Chapter 1. No doubt his child would take an interest in academics, watching his father excitedly talk about his work. He might be disappointed if his child took an interest in a different subject, though.
2Gavin
The Gentle Bartender
Gavin’s descendant was also romanceable in DS Cute, though Story of Seasons didn’t have the same courtesy. The soft-spoken bartender may be an older gentleman, but some find charm in that. Gavin is also a guitarist and gentle by nature. You can see his guitar in the back room of the Bluebird Cafe.
His heart events could have you two bonding over repeated visits to the Cafe, trying his drink mixes, and listening to whatever is on Gavin’s mind. Other times, he could play his guitar for you, perhaps even writing a song for you, much like Gustafa did. Naturally, his child would be interested in music. We could also see his child loving art. He’d be a gentle, doting parent and do his best, even if he frets over being older than you, his dear partner.
1Flora
Her Love Is A Priceless Artifact
Flora was one of the many bachelorettes you could romance in Harvest Moon DS and has since been a fan favorite. Many hoped we could woo this spacey archeologist when the remake came out, but unfortunately, the Harvest Goddess had other plans for us. Flora always seems to be in her own world and takes things at her own pace, but she’s passionate about the things she’s interested in. We just wish that included us.
Her heart events could include our farmer walking in Flora spacing out in various places throughout the valley, getting into all kinds of trouble. Luckily, we’d be there to bail her out, offering our help however we could. Because Flora is so absent-minded, her child could honestly go after any interest, although naturally Flora would hope for an academic child. They don’t have to become an archeologist like her. They just need to study well so they can live happily, although she’d support them no matter what they choose.
