Various items in PlayStation’s 30th anniversary collectionhave been getting restocked here and therebut selling out fast making them very hard to come by. There is still at least one online retailer that has the grey DualSense still in stock, though. The only problem is you’ll need to pick up the Doom Anthology at the same time since the controller has been bundled with the collection.
The bundle is still in stock at Antonlineand while it’s unclear why the DualSense has been bundled with the Doom Anthology, if nothing else it’s an inventive way to deter scalpers. Even though the DualSense is hard to come by, it’s been restocked pretty regularly meaning resale prices aren’t all that high yet. Scalpers certainly won’t want a pile of Doom collections with their scalped controllers.
Bundling the controller with the Doom Anthology also drives the price up, of course, which isn’t great, but it’s also another way to verify the DualSense doesn’t get scalped. The controller plus Doom bundle is $154.99 which, considering everything you get, is a pretty good deal. The anniversary DualSense is $79.99 when bought separately, and the Doom Anthology is another $80 on top of that, so you’re technically saving $5 by buying the two while they’re bundled together.
One Site Has Bundled The Anniversary DualSense With Doom’s Anthology
It Doesn’t Make Sense, But It’s A Great Bundle
The Doom Anthology included isthe one released earlier this year that comes with a replica of Doomguy’s BFG. The replica is only five inches long, but it has flashing LED effects and comes with a stand so that it can be properly displayed. The Anthology itself is the PlayStation version - it would be a little odd if a DualSense was paired with anything else - and includes six games from throughout Doom history.Doom,Doom 2,Doom 3,Doom 64, Doom (2016), andDoom Eternal.
With no information on when or even if the anniversary DualSense will be restocked next, it seems likely this bundle will sell out pretty quickly. If you’ve been trying to get your hands on the new controller and you love Doom, it’s a win-win situation. If you want the controller and you’re indifferent to Doom, now is the best time to try and change that.
