Updated by Josh Coulson at 04:47 am EST on Saturday, May 17, 2025: The Porygon plush is now available at the US Pokemon Center and, as expected, the currency exchange is not like-for-like. Porygon’s life-size plush is $499.99, making it the most expensive Pokemon plush ever alongside the life-size Mareep and Altaria.
Porygon Celadon Game Corner Poke Plush
One of the more curious Pokemon introduced via the original 151, Porygon has been turned into one of Pokemon’s life-size plushes. Standing at 31.5 inches tall and costing $500, it’s one of Pokemon’s biggest and most expensive plushes.
Original story:Pokemonplushes come in a range of shapes and sizes from ones small enough to clip onto your keychain to soft toys big enough that they’re basically furniture. Labeled life-size plushes by Pokemon as a lot of the time they’re supposed to be the same size as they appear in the games, whenever a new Pokemon is added to the life-size plush collection it is considered a low key event. Cue the introduction of a new plush to the Pokemon life-size collection, Porygon.
Pokemon revealed its massive Pokemon plush by sharing the first images of it online (thanks,Pokeshopper.net). As is usually the case when it comes to revealing its bigger plushes, Pokemon has hired a model to pose with Porygon to showcase just how big the new toy really is. The photo of the model holding up the Porygon and giving it a hug really hammers home just how big the plush is, and whether you’re familiar with Pokemon’s life-size plush collection or not, you will have likely already correctly assumed that a plush this big comes with a price tag to match.
The Porygon is only available through the Japanese Pokemon Center at the moment, priced at 55,000 yen. That’s roughly $400 and while like-for-like price conversions don’t always apply, if and when the Porygon plush finds its way to the US Pokemon Center, that’s likely how much it’s going to cost. There will be ways that you’re able to buy the Porygon from Japan and have it shipped to you, but between its already lofty price and how much it would cost to have something like that shipped halfway around the world, I dread to think how much it would come to.
Porygon Has Been Turned Into A Life-Size Plush
And I Must Have One
As for how big this behemoth is, the life-size Porygon plush clocks in at roughly 31.5 x 32.5 x 47 inches and weighs 11.5 lbs. Maybe check how much it costs to have something that size shipped from Japan to wherever you are in the world before you sell a chair or a table to make room for Porygon in your home. For the rest of us who can wait, hopefully Porygon comes to the US Pokemon Center eventually. It’s not guaranteed, but it’s usually the case.
There was an example of that just this week asthe Kalos Region’s Sitting Cuties are now available through the US Pokemon Center. All 111 of them as even though Kalos only boasts 72 Pokemon, all of those Pokemon’s variants, including all 18 versions of Vivillon, now have their own Sitting Cuties.Life-size Slowpoke, Psyduck, and Larvesta plushes have also been released in Japan first before going on sale in the US and elsewhere.
