Summary
A Game Freak leakrevealing everything from plans forPokemon’s Gen 10 toNintendo’s codename for the Switch 2 went down over the weekend. Among the thousands of files unearthed in the leak is some rather disturbing lore about humans having children with Pokemon, as well as a story about a guy slaying a bunch of Ursaring for what appears to be no reason at all.
In a document titled “The Collapse of Culture and Relationships”, a man finds an Octillery on the beach, has relations with it, and then throws it back into the sea. He does the same thing the next day until eventually, the Octillery comes to him in a dream to let them know they won’t be back (and to confirm it was a willing participant in these acts seemingly). The man returns to his Octillery spot the next day to find a boy, presumably an Octillery-human hybrid, who he takes home and raises.
If you were wondering whether this story could get any weirder, don’t worry, it does. The boy grows up to find a mysterious sword that he then uses to maim and kill Ursaring for no reason at all, at least not one that is explained in the discovered lore.
Pokemon Having Children With Humans Isn’t Even The Weirdest Part
Somehow, a similar story revealed via the leak is even more disturbing. In this second tale, a group of women spend their free time hunting and killing Slakoth, again, for no other reason than they appear to enjoy doing it.
The twist in the Slakoth story is one of the women gets kidnapped by a Vigoroth and falls unconscious while being held captive. When she awakes, she’s back home and later gives birth to a baby Slakoth. That seems to make her a changed woman, but not her Pokemon-hunting friends. Continuing their needless Slakoth slaying, the group discovers her Pokemon child sleeping and kills it. A truly chilling story you simply wouldn’t believe came from the minds of actual Pokemon writers had it not been a part of his mega leak.
Theories that Pokemon and humans might have more than just a Pokemon-trainer relationship have been swirling for decades. One of the more popular of those theories is that since Ash’s mom lives with a Mr. Mime and his dad isn’t around, perhaps Ash himself is half Pokemon and his dad is the Mr. Mime living with his mom in the anime. Now that I’ve read the disturbing tales above, I wouldn’t be surprised to discover there’s a document out there somewhere detailing the birth of Ash with sketches of a tearfully proud Mr. Mime wearing a hospital gown as he coaches Ash’s mom through childbirth.
