Summary

Earlier this year,a long list of Pokemon Funko Pops coming soonfound its way out into the world. There were nine Poke Pops on that list, and as each new figure has been officially revealed, the leaked list has remained accurate. A first look at what might well be the final newPokemonFunko Popsof the year has now been shared on social media, and it’s a full house for that leaked list as it is right on all three, and hence all nine, counts.

If you didn’t see the leaked list, or you avoided it on purpose so that you could be surprised when the Pops' designs were shown off, then the three Pokemon to get the Funko treatment next areMimikyu, Quaxly, and Alolan Raichu. A little all over the place with these three picks, likely in an attempt to try and please as many Pokemon fans as possible. Let’s be honest though, many of you reading this are just like me and will buy all three.

Mimikyu’s Pop is the most interesting of the three as its design doesn’t really lend itself to what a Funko Pop typically looks like. That’s because Mimikyu’s face isn’t actually its face, it’s part of its disguise. I’m glad Funko didn’t give Mimikyu’s faux face the Pop treatment as it would have made the Ghost-type look even more creepy. If you didn’t know already, the two slots on the body of Mimikyu’s disguise are its eyes, hence that being where the round black eyes have been placed for its Funko Pop.

Three More Pokemon Funko Pops Have Been Revealed

Quaxly, Alolan Raichu, And Mimikyu Are Coming Soon

Quaxly and Alolan Raichu’s Funko Pop designs feel a lot more natural. Their bright colors and cartoonish designs lend themselves very well to Funko’s Pop style which is likely why they’ve been chosen for Funko duty. Quaxly getting a Funko Pop means Fuecoco is now the only Paldean partner Pokemon without a Funko figure. Alolan Raichu’s Pop comes with a transparent stand so that it looks like it’s surfing along your shelf on its tail.

When these Pops will be available and how much they will cost hasn’t been revealed yet, but their designs finding their way out into the world means they will likely be available soon. Certainly before the holidays. These is still at least one other Pokemon Pop to come this year -a New York Comic-Con exclusive Jumbo Dialga.
