Summary
For collectors of thePokemon Trading Card Game, there’s no better feeling than opening a “God Pack”. These packs are only in certain expansions of the TCG, and every card inside them is one of the set’s rarest. There’s no way of telling prior if you have a God Pack, but you’ll know when the first card you see is something ultra rare.
Now, withPokemon TCG Pocketrolling out around the world, it seems likeThe Pokemon Companyis hiding another little nod to the physical game, by including these fabled packs.
“God Packs” Are Real In Pokemon TCG Pocket
Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket are divided into rarities different to those in the physical TCG. They are as follows:
In a normal pack, you have a five percent chance of pulling a rare, roughly two percent for an ultra rare or illustration rare, and less than a one percent chance for anything above that.
In a God Pack, you are guaranteed to pull five cards that have a rarity of one star (illustration rare) or higher, an unreal result compared to the standard packs.
Unfortunately, as mentioned above, there is no indication as to when you’ll get a God Pack, and they are as rare as you can imagine, with reports saying that you have a roughly0.05 percent chance of opening one. However, a quick search on social media shows they are being pulled, so there’s hope for all of us yet —provided we can load up the game.
