Summary
It’sPS5 Prolaunch week with the mid-gen refresh of PlayStation’s newest consolereleasing on November 7. Withpre-orders still readily availablepretty much everywhere consoles are sold, it seems the Pro hasn’t exactly been flying off the virtual shelves. That might start to change today as PlayStation has confirmed all of the games that will look markedly better on its Pro console from launch day, and there are a lot of them.
A post went up on the PlayStation Blogon Monday confirming that55 games will have enhanced visualswhen played on the PS5 Pro from the day it releases with more to come. It’s possible that one of the things holding people back from taking the plunge on picking up a PS5 Pro was the limited number of titles that had been shown off on the console. Now you can rest assured there are a lot more, and odds are you own at least a few of them.
Among the titles that we already knew on the exhaustive list areAlan Wake 2,Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, andDragon Age: The Veilguard. Among the games to have joined them that we didn’t know would be getting the enhanced Pro treatment, at least not for certain until now are the likes ofLies Of P,Resident Evil Village,No Man’s Sky, andPalworld.Fortniteis also on there which means if you want what will almost certainly be the best-looking version of the live service game we’ve seen to date, you’ll need to check it out on a PS5 Pro.
PlayStation Confirms All 55 Games That Will Have Enhanced Visuals On The PS5 Pro At Launch
With More To Come After The Console Has Been Released
The blog post promises that even more games will be enhanced by the PS5 Pro in the future and that this first batch of 55 is just a sample ready for the console’s launch. As for the enhancements you can expect if you plan to play any of the games listed on a Pro, the console willapply advanced ray tracingas well as"smooth framerates of 60hz or 120hz"provided you have a TV that can handle that.
The PS5 Pro will also bethe first console to use PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), PlayStation’s new machine-learning tech that will add detail to images for additional clarity. Those lucky enough to have taken the Pro for a spin have also revealed a setting that enhances the image quality of PS4 games. That immediatelyled some to test how Bloodborne lookswith the feature turned on and unfortunately, most claim they can’t see the difference.
