Summary
InKong: Survivor Instinct, you will encounter various monstrous creatures, known as Titans, while navigating the ruins of a ravaged city. Surviving the crumbling debris is one thing; avoiding the God-like monsters lurking in the ruins is a whole other beast.
Kong: Survivor Instinct features several familiar creatures you may know and love and some new creatures straight from the Monarch files. Some you have to flee from while other, smaller Titans, you can go head-to-head against.
6Plague Weaver
Army of Abaddon
These large, venomous spider-like monsters are the offspring of Abaddon, and they stalk around the webbed ruins of the inner city. They are the first creature enemies you face and are the easiest to kill.
They may be difficult to see at first but they tend to lie in wait for prey by hanging on the ceiling or hiding in small gaps, lunging out at the first sign of a meal. A quick smack with a crowbar is all it takes for you to beat these eight-legged nightmares.
5Skull Spawn
Hungry Little Nightmares
Baby skullcrawlers that hatch from small pods, these ravenous hybervores will attack anything at sight. After escaping Abaddon and the plague weavers, these little monsters take their place as the main monster threat you can fight.
They attack similarly to the plague weavers, lunging at prey and coiling around them with their prehensile tail. Because they’re much smaller than the skullcrawlers you’re probably familiar with, they are easy to fight and only need one smack from the steel pipe to put down.
4Lahamu
Child of Tiamat
Lahamu is a juvenile Titan with similar looks to its mother, Tiamat. The young Titan doesn’t attack or pursue David, but its capture and the experiments it endures are a major plot device of the last act. Tiamat’s desire to rescue her offspring is the reason for her attack in the Bay.
Finding the young Titan and learning about Stacy’s plans and research with her is one of the last things you see in Survivor Instinct and freeing Lahamu is the last thing you need to do after escaping the city areas.
3Abaddon
Mother of All Spiders
A massive spider-like monster, Abaddon’s most striking feature is its human skull-like thorax and a monstrous maw that can bite through concrete with flexible fangs. Abaddon claimed the large ruins of the Downtown area as its territory and spawned plague weavers all throughout to feed on survivors. After gathering its bioacoustic signatures, Abaddon makes itself known and will pursue you throughout the rest of the area.
While hinted at throughout the level with small glimpses and a lurking presence, Abaddon’s webs are strewn about everywhere, and its offspring present a constant danger for David. According to Monarch’s research, the origins of all of Earth’s spider species can be traced to this ancient Titan, and it has the power to influence any of its spawns to attack in legions.
2Tiamat
Phosphorous Serpent Menace
Tiamat is a large serpentine monster that has taken over the Bay Area. Her venomous slime is an obstacle that you have to navigate all over the area. Her appearance is based on how she looked when she fought Godzilla in Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire. After escaping her attack, you’ll also witness her fight against Kong while making your way to the Underwater Facility run by Jonah.
It’s revealed that Timat’s offspring, Jahamu, was taken by David’s daughter for research and study. Tiamat’s rampage in the Bay Area could be her attempt to find and rescue her young, and by the end of your journey, you find a way to help free the young Titan and see them swim away.
1Kong
Alpha King On The Move
King Kong is that title monsteryou will see throughout the events of Survivor Instinct. After fighting Godzilla and defeating Mechagodzilla, Kong supposedly made the Hollow Earth his new home, but something brought him back to the surface. Kong makes his first appearance in front of David rampaging in the evacuated residential areas of the city for unknown reasons.
After his rampage and with David using the Orca Sigma to lure Kong to help him out with debris and obstacles, Kong appears in later areas fighting the other Titans that appear, from taking on Abaddon to lashing out against Tiamat.
