SAM Trials, Explained

S.A.M. Trials are optional challenges in Zombies modethat appear randomly during different rounds, typically starting after round eight. Once you receive the prompt, you’ll know one is available, but you might be curious about how to activate it.

In order to activate it, you need tolocate and interact with the trial machineand activate it using Essence, and thankfully, the prompt will also provide the location where the machine spawns.

If you’re not familiar with the area name, justlook up for a purple beam emanating from a cloudand head in that direction.

you’re able to also open your map and locate it from there.

Upon arrival, you’ll spend Essence to activate the trial, which will present you witha random challenge to complete within a set time limit.

While some trials are easier than others - such as Killing Vermin, using Dark Aether field traps, or Eliminating zombies inside a marked location -all of them offer valuable rewards.

Don’t worry if you don’t have enough zombies to complete the trial, as activating the S.A.M.

Trials will spawn additional zombies with purple eyes to assist you in meeting the challenge.

Successfully completing a S.A.M. Trial will eliminate all additional purple-eyed zombies, leaving only the regular round-based zombies active and, of course, your hard-earned rewards.

You can then claim your rewards byinteracting with the chest marked with a blue gift icon, which may contain Essence, Salvage, Weapons, Equipment, Aether Tools, and more.

The higher the round in which you complete a S.A.M. Trial, the better the rewards you receive.

If you fail the trial, all additional zombies will be killed, and you’ll have to wait untilanother S.A.M. Trial becomes available after a several rounds.
